7:14 if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Here 's a powerful Innernet address for you: obeyGod@ILoveJesus
Notice that there is no ".com" needed. That's because this address doesn't work on the Internet, but on the Innernet -- it works within human souls.
Many Christians practice the second have of this Innernet address. How many bumper stickers have been displayed in American stating love for Jesus? Yet, our society continues to swiftly depart from Christian morals.
Sure, there has always been immorality in America, but it was hidden -- done in secret. Most doers of gross immorality were ashamed and hid their sins.
Not today! Turn on a TV. Go to a movie. Pick up a magazine or newspaper. Listen to the conversations at your work place. People are boldly boasting about their sin and mocking anyone who dares to disagree with them.
Obviously it is not enough for Christians to proclaim love for Jesus. Our "loving Jesus" impact on American is almost non-existent. Instead of us impacting America, America is impacting us. Just look at the movies, books, and music displayed on mychurch profiles. Much of it is carnal, worldly, sinful. The world doesn't need to promote that stuff, because we are doing it for them. Our great grandparents would be embarrassed to see what we cheerfully promote.
Somehow in America, we Christians have to add "obey God" to our lifestyles. Christians like to say that there is no persecution in America. Sure there is freedom to "love Jesus" here, but begin to listen to and obey God and boldly speak His truth and persecution will suddenly appear.
It is easy to "love Jesus." It is extremely hard and challenging to "obey God." Isn't it time for American Christians to get off the easy road and begin to boldly march along the highway of obedience, holiness, and service, "considering others better than yourself?"
So much it at stake. Just read II Chronicles 7:14. |

I'm with you on this stuff, and I know who's behind it all, and the days are evil, but God is not mocked, so I am sowing seeds into this internet, and helping deliver the captives from the camp that I just came from, Praise Jesus. Without Holiness no one will see God. I earnestly try to live my life esteeming others better than myself, and it helps that I work in a drug detox with 4 other christian counselors. I love what you say, and its easy to say I love Jesus, but what does it profit a man who says he has faith and has not works? A said faith is just that. I wear a hat that says I LOVE JESUS and smile at everyone and pray for people as I pass by them in public, I hope that someone will comment on my hat and open the door because I love to tell my story, Jesus has healing and deliverance for the addict the idol worshipper those that trust in riches, and the homeless bum. Where sin abounds, grace does much more abound, and this world is passing away and the elements will dissolve in the all-consuming fir of God, the Holy One of Isreal, He lives in me and I can't hold his Truth inside, and I always need his grace and mercy for I am but dust and my nature is full of sin, so I die daily, see what I can do for someone without people seeing me and giving to those who cannot repay. Its not about me, but it used to be only that because I was blind. The veil has been removed, and my captivity is over, Praise Jesus. |

| After 105 reads, finally a star. Thanks, Jeff. It seems like Jesus' requirement to obey, ("If you love me you will keep My commandments.") is not very much appreciated, even among Christians. |

| Yes indeed, Paul. He helps us walk the walk. However, no one can help us do something if we are not willing to do it. |

|
| Wow, Paul. That is God's confirmation. We both posted verses about the requirement to keep Jesus' commandments, at the same time. Surely that is more than a coincidence! |
