| Everybody wants everything so perfect.... |
|
| |
A "perfect" wife...she's not to have a blemish, scar, stretch marks...even if she carried a baby; she is to be a size 8 if not a size zero...she is to be able to sing and dance and chew gum at the same time...and you better remain happy and not mention anything about it!
A "perfect" husband....he IS TO bring home a six-figure income so we can shop for four hours every Saturday! He is to be rippled in muscles, be cuter than any model we have seen, even though those people are hand picked and usually touched up, enhanced, and repaired by a computer or have a hands-on professional to dress them and do their hair every day(oh, same with the women here...sorry forgot to mention it!)
A "perfect" family, job, life...yeah right...you know what...none of that is possible. For if it was, we wouldn't be happy still...I mean look at us....Jesus came, bleed and died on the cross and we are still complaining...... 5:11 Wherefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as also ye do.
Please bring and give life in all that you do....

Uhh, isn't there a quote from some movie, somewhere...maybe i'm mis-quoting...that says: "Hey, ToTo, I don't think we're in the Garden of Eden Anymore." Thank You Cheryl for another uplifting look at some truly funny Human attitudes! Oh, here's a Quote that isn't Mis-quoted: "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." Just wait until We see US in Our Glorified Bodies! |

I think one of the top epidemics in the US is Identity Theft. Think about our True identity that is locked up in HIM... but the more we identify with the world and what the world thinks we should be, look like, do, say, etc... the more we loose that spiritual identity. We are confused, we hate ourselves and what we look like, we eat more, we abuse ourselves and others, a roller coaster ride for sure... and all the while it's because of "Spiritual Identity Theft". Who are we? Will the real church please stand up!
Love you girl... you are a hoot!

Oh, thank goodness, I'm perfect! Whew, what a relief! COUGH! |

| Great blog and very very true, especially with American society and it moves down to the children and with that comes teenage eating disorders and stuff like that. We strive too much for perfection but what we should really be striving for is to get into the Will of God and live it, His opinion of us is the only one that matters and His opinion is that He LOVES us the way we are, we were made into His own image and that should be enough. God Bless! |

| I have learned that a size 14 plus is perfect in my fathers eyes. I have learned that wrinkles are simply the reminders of many smiles. I have learned that gravity will ultimatley have its power over my physical body here on earth, but gravity will have no authority over me when He is ready for me to come up!! Perfect love..... that is the only "perfect thing" we should seek, and if we do we will find that the only "perfect" love came to us from God through Jesus Christ... He embraces the worst in us, that we may become perfectly loved by Him! |
