| The Spirit Led Life: Kingdom Seekers |

6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. We who seek to be led by the Holy Spirit are aware that we are not merely citizens of earth but also of heaven. We are citizens of God's kingdom here on earth. We are here on assignment from the King. You and I are here on kingdom business The Spirit led life is a life that is in harmony with the will of the King and for the good of the kingdom. It is our privilege to lay down our will, our ambitions, our rights on the altar of sacrifice to fully seek the will of another. We follow His example who humbled Himself and became obedient unto the death of the cross and was exalted to the highest place in all of heaven. (see Philippians 2:5-10) We seek His righteousness. Only citizens of a kingdom have a true sense of right. In the time of the judges the people of israel had no absolutes standard of right and wrong., Judges 17:6 says, "In those days there was no king in Israel; every man did that which was right in his own eyes." We cannot pick and chose our own personal code of ethics based on our personal convenience or preference. Our King makes the rules, calls the shots, rewards those who please Him, and chastens those who do not. The beautiful thing is that when we put all on the altar we lose absolutely nothing but on the contrary, we gain everything. When we stop seeking the necessities of life that Jesus mentions in His sermon on the Mount, clothing, shelter, and food; God sees to it that we are bountifully supplied out of His Heavenly store house. All these things shall be added unto you. |
