When I was a young man of 15 I went on a summer mission trip to Jamaica. It helped shape who I am today for the better. However, while in Jamaica I learned to like Reggae music. One of my favorite past-times is to take lyrics of secular tunes and put my own sanctified lyrics to it. It is a lot of fun. Some day, maybe I could write an album for someone who would like to take the top hits of our time and put sanctified lyrics to them, after all this is what Charles and John Wesley did. They took songs sung in the local pub and put lyrics to them and we call them hymns today. I love doing it. Anyway, this is a song called "Buffalo Soldier" by Bob Marley and someone told me one day after preaching good and wearing a new suit that I looked like a "Holy Ghost soldier" So there you have it....it got my wheels turning and now instead of the Buffalo Soldier there is the Holy Ghost soldier. I know many of you probablly have no idea what this song is like or about, but it is just for fun. If you want to listen to it go to my playlist on my home page and look it up. I like Bob Marley!!!! I also have a habit of putting Christian lyrics to other songs.......LOLOL
I put my own lyrics to to alot of songs, LOL
Taught this one to my granddaughter when she was two and I babysat her......people would crack up when she's sing it in a deeeeeeeep voice (I'm Ga)
