I'v been in church for about 20 years. But i havent always been free! the truth is most of my time in church I was bound!!!! Let me explain. I was'ent bound by alcahol, drugs,ect... I was bound by spritual bondage. You see most of my time in church I was apart of a group where the rule book was bigger than the bible. early in my ministry I would feel that God was tring to show me somthing. But friends of that group would tell me I was geting "Lose" They really dident know what they were saying> They ment somthing else!!!! like I was dropping my STANDARDS!!!!. so my family walked for about 10 years under bondage. The Lord began to deal with me. The verse that says "work out your own salvation with fear and tremling. I began to watch preachers as they would preach somthing they really did not belive just to get their preaching licens. they would preach againts T.V , but hide one in there closet. I'm glad to say about 3 years ago i finly let go!!!
I guess you can say I am "LOOSE" and it feels good to be free. I do belive in rules, and morles, and control, but dont build a religion on it!!!- people get bound by Religion, Denomanations, and they turn so self rightous.. By the way me and my family went to the movies last week and had a great time!!! most people that preach everything is wrong, my guess would be they are prob. too busy to ever spend time with there familys. so i gues you could say there spritual bound. Drug use leads to broken familys, alcahol tears up homes, what about spiritual bondage!!!! It almost cost me my family!!! Well PRAISE GOD!!!! How awesome is that! Like the song says, "I am free to run, I am free to dance, I am free to live for you (jesus), cuz I am free"
Aren't we so blessed that God knew how imperfect we were that he sent his only son, the only perfect one, to pay the price, to pave the way for our salvation.
So many people waste time trying to look perfect and they wind up with skeletons, or tv's, in their closets.
There was only one Jesus, and there can never be another, therefore He doesn't expect us to be perfect, but only to love Him and other (not to be jugemental). We are called to live as he did, not as the Pharisees did! :)
