| Your Renown |

Hopefully most of the time we let scripture speak to us, but some days, it just really resonates with us. That's the way it is with today's verse. Resonating conviction.
26:8 Yes, LORD, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts. Most of the time, I'd stop right with the first part of this verse, because how often do I stumble just in trying to walk in His law, thank you Lord for your unending forgiveness.
Even in this we are to push more, wait for Him. I just saw a Jennifer Rothschild video last night where she made the point that when we walk by faith, we wait for Him, but when we walk by sight (in our own flesth) we wait on things from Him. How often do I go to God looking for Him to be my Pez dispenser of blessings, nod His Head and out comes the treat. My God meets my needs generously, so why don't I just focus on Him?
But today, even more than the first part, "your name and renown are the desire of our hearts" weighs heavily. Oh how I Iong for that to be true more than it is. How much would my attitude change is I viewed every situation with reguard to His Name and His Renown? What would I bear, how much could I suffer? How bold would I be?
Lord, reveal your glory to me more and more each day. Let me fall in love with You even more every day. Make your name and your renown my goal, my purpose. I pray this for myself and all who long to know You. Glory to Your Name!
