Yesterday I participated in Saturday Sunday School. This is a wonderful outreach program for children to hear the word of God. So for one hour these children get to learn about God, win prizes, have snacks and most of all have fun. And in return we ask for nothing. We do it out of love, its unconditional and free.
Something that really bothered me was how one person can take something so beautiful and try to destroy it. On the fliers we put out, as a reminder to the children. Someone decided it was ok to put a bad word on all of them. I asked myself how could someone do this? Shouldn't we want better for the children? Shouldn't we want to see happiness and joy in them? Even if it is just for an hour a week. Those seeds we plant during that time can last them a lifetime. And change their lives forever. I remember back when I found out about God for the first time. I was in the 3rd grade. And came from a family who never went to church. This was my one day a week that I could leave all the problems with my home life behind and just be a kid. And the feeling of knowing that someone loved me, and would never stop loving me was so powerful. I never forgot it. It made things better, and I always had someone to talk to.
So then I started reading in the Bible to see just how important Children are to God. I counted 123 places.I am sure there are more I just didnt find them all. I mean I literally stayed up half the night reading. And wrote them all down and what they were talking about. In those places the Bible talks about everything from adoption, divine promises for children, parental influence, unborn children to teaching children. To be mentioned that many times in the Bible, I realized just how important children are to God. They are our future, and shouldn't our future adults have the right to know that they can live happy lives, lives with peace and joy, free of sickness, free of poverty, and all the bad things this world has. That God can make all those things happen and more. I know even Jesus and his disciples were called names, and that it is nothing new. And that someone really was convicted when they saw those fliers. But it really made me sad to think that they don't know God. I am still praying for that person. I hope they meet God soon.
Here are a few of my favorites:
21:16 Have you any idea what these are saying? And Jesus said to them, Yes: have you not seen in the Writings, From the lips of children and babies at the breast you have made your praise complete? 19:13 Then some people took little children to him, so that he might put his hands on them in blessing: and the disciples said sharp words to them. 19:14 But Jesus said, Let the little ones come to me, and do not keep them away: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. 19:15 And he put his hands on them, and went away. 9:42 And whoever is a cause of trouble to one of these little ones who have faith in me, it would be better for him if a great stone was put round his neck and he was dropped into the sea. 18:1 In that hour the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Who is greatest in the kingdom of heaven? 18:2 And he took a little child, and put him in the middle of them, 18:3 And said, Truly, I say to you, If you do not have a change of heart and become like little children, you will not go into the kingdom of heaven. 18:4 Whoever, then, will make himself as low as this little child, the same is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 18:5 And whoever gives honour to one such little child in my name, gives honour to me: 18:6 But whoever is a cause of trouble to one of these little ones who have faith in me, it would be better for him to have a great stone fixed to his neck, and to come to his end in the deep sea.
11:25 At that time Jesus made answer and said, I give praise to you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have kept these things secret from the wise and the men of learning, and have made them clear to little children. I really, really love that one(above) 127:3 See, sons are a heritage from the Lord; the fruit of the body is his reward. 127:4 Like arrows in the hand of a man of war, are the children of the young. 127:5 Happy is the man who has a good store of them; he will not be put to shame, but his cause will be supported by them against his haters. Psalms 127:3-5 BBE 48:13 Take note of its strong walls, looking well at its fair buildings; so that you may give word of it to the generation which comes after. 28:9 Whom will he teach knowledge? and whom will he make to understand the message? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts? 22:6 If a child is trained up in the right way, even when he is old he will not be turned away from it. 4:9 Only take care, and keep watch on your soul, for fear that the things which your eyes have seen go from your memory and from your heart all the days of your life; but let the knowledge of them be given to your children and to your children's children;

Sweet Shell - don't be bothered -- if they can suck a babies out of the womb and even babies who can live outside the womb and still dismember them, have illicit and heinous crimes perpertrated against them, beat them, put them in dog cages, let them raise themselves, hit them with 2x4's, teach them to hate and deprive them of God - why would they want them not to have fun and find out the Truth? I take this as a compliment and that the evil one has revealed himself -we are in his turf - and we hit the nail on the head. We are in the right place! Yahooooooo God is with us --- what is stronger? vandalism, sin, hate, abuse, or God, His Love, and His Word? Huff and puff enemy - but in the Name of Jesus - those children are spared! Mrs W, You are so right. The mother in me wants better for all these children. As if they were my own. I place every one of them in my prayers, because God put them in my heart. |

| What a beautiful mission... don't let satan discourage you. I will pray for the mission, the children and the lost soul that allowed satan to use them. |

| Thank you Cheryl, I think the best part of it all was that alot of the parents sat and listened while their children had fun and learned. It was so cool! |

| Children are a hertiage from the Lord. We need to love them, protect them, and show them the way. You are doing a great thing! I would not worry about the Jerks, just keep doing good. |

| you have great heart for the mission. It is the Lord who gave you this zeal and goal to accomlish and do the same. The same Lord will give you everything you need to do the same. never even look back but always take easy and go furthur..
