Ephesians 2:10 KJV For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. I have a pair of the best Bongo drums on the market, the "Galaxy Giovanni Series" by Latin Percussion, a manufacturer of fine percussion instruments. When they are new the skins (heads) do not produce the pitch or tone a trained ear can detect. The skins have to stretch and need conditioning over time to produce the perfect pitch. The lugs underneath have to be tightened each time the bongos are used and loosened afterwards to prevent overstretching and cracking. The skins can be affected by temperature and humidity so I spread olive oil on top of and underneath them to keep them flexible. When I play them in church they produce rich vibrant tones which complement the praise and worship. In the same way when we are born-again we need to be conditioned. We were already conditioned throughout a manufacturing process that prepared us for use. Very much like my bongos. The bongo shells are made of ash that produces a different sound than other bongo shells made of Siam Oak. They have to be cured before they are ready for manufacturing. Look at the manufacturing process that brought you to where you are now. A lot of effort went into the curing process because of the rigors you would have to endure while the master took you from one process to another. Even when it appears that his work is complete there is a time when you have to sit on the shelf until you are ready to be used. You may still be new, but the process of conditioning will help bring out the best in you. Sometimes you will be stretched beyond the limits of what you are capable of enduring. God knows exactly how much oil to apply to keep you flexible. Prayer conditioning is the key to withstanding the sometimes painful tightening and loosening that the Holy spirit has to perform on you in order to get just the right tone out of you. You are His instrument. By yourself you can do nothing, but in the Master's hands you are a sweet melody that resonates the love and passion of an awesome God. 2 Corinthians 4:8-10 KJV [We are] troubled on every side, yet not distressed; [we are] perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. I enjoy playing my bongo drums. i take great care to make them look their best and to make them produce rich sounds. I also have to condition my hands, because hitting the drums in different ways is what produces the sounds. Sometimes in life we may feel as if we are being smitten from many different directions. Just look at what it is producing in you. You are not what you used to be. There may still be some imperfections but a little conditioning will fix them. When you feel the heat of a fiery trial, turn on the prayer conditioner. You'll be able to endure the heat and you can sit still and enjoy a cool drink of living water. So crisp and so refreshing. Then let the Master use you, and watch what happens. Things will change in ways you never dreamed. 1 Peter 2:20 KJV For what glory [is it], if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer [for it], ye take it patiently, this [is] acceptable with God. Eventually I'm going to get a pair of Conga drums. Together with the Bongos they will make wonderful melodies. I can't afford to buy any but I can wait. I'll just turn on the prayer conditioner and take another cool drink. Chuga-chuga-chuga! Ahhh. That hit the spot. Thank you Jesus! You are so so sweet. That soft cool breeze feels so good. Sorry folks. I would invite you over but I love the time I spend with my Jesus alone in my prayer conditioned room. I would share a drink with you but you need to draw water out of your own well. i'm about ready for another drink. Turn on your prayer conditioner but don't forget to conserve energy. Have a cool drink and refresh yourself but don't let the well run dry. You got the right one baybay! Lol! Shalom |
