The other day I went to store with the threat of rain looming. After shopping, I thought the rain had already started so I attempted to open my umbrella...and of course it wouldn't open even though I pushed the button multiple times & pulled on the little wire things. So... I threw the umbrella in the cart & started to run to the car. I was pleasantly surprised when I realized it was bearly misting...so I slowed down, walked to the car, unloaded groceries, got in the car, closed the door & the downpour of buckets began.
I thanked God for the perfect timing, and headed for home when the rain eased up.
Now I know getting wet isn't a big deal, in fact there are probably some who think I'm all wet anyway so a little rain wouldn't make any difference.
Here's the deal though....everything was just too perfectly arranged....down to my inability to conquer an umbrella.
I'm sure I don't always recognize God's little blessings of life, but I think I must be getting better as I get to know Him better.
An added note.....I tried to open the umbrella again in the car & at home....nothing. Of course when Jim touched it, it popped right up. Maybe I'm really "umbrella opening" challenged.....nah.
