| Got Not? Why Not? |

The ability to say “no” is an important commodity that appears to be becoming much less common in our society nowadays. No wonder our conscience can put our stomach in a knot.
Sometimes the TV remote seems to have a mind of its own. It stops on a crude, vulgar program and we settle in to consume self-destructive trash, all because we have lost the words: “Not that! Not in my house! Not in my mind!”
When the levies around New Orleans quit saying not to the dirty water surrounding the city, New Orleans was destroyed. When we stop saying not to the invisible forces that are constantly trying to wash away our character, our conscience, and our morality, we will be flooded with inner misery .
Why "not"? Because without not you become like a pool ball, being kicked around by whatever whim crashes into your heart. Without not you are going to be knocked-under-the-table by self-destructive thoughts, behaviors, and habits.
Do you remember The nots?
It’s not right! Not with me you don’t! Not while I’m in charge! I’m not doing it! Not while you’re living in my house! Not on my watch! Not if I don’t say so! Not while you’re working for me! Not in my house! Not on your life! You’re not messing with me! That’s not allowed! You’re not getting something over on me! It’s not happening! Not here! Not you! Not that! I’m not interested!
Not in my backyard! Not while I’m working here! Not in my car! Not on my TV! I’m not going there! I’m not looking at that! Not with my money! Not while I’ve got my right mind! I’m not going to be part of it! I’m not lying for you! I’m not going to do self-destructive behaviors.
Pull out your nots today and give self-destruction and wrongful behavior a forceful not --  !!!

No way, Jose!
I used so many "nots" yesterday that I have "nots' running out of my ears......so I had to laugh at this. Our's were good "nots"......just got the pool up and going, and training the 5 year old granddaughter on what "not" to do......for safety :) |

| I remember years ago my youngest brother wanted to bring his new girlfriend over my house for the weekend, but they were not married. I told him my house was a Christian house and that he would be better off in a hotel. He never once came to visit me and is now sitting in jail awaiting a 19 year sentence for killing his girlfriend. Ironic but I don't even allow anyone to even swear in my house. I can't change what people do in their own house but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord. |

| Amen Jay. You took a courageous stand for righteousness with your brother. I am sure that even now, your decision to not let him and his girl friend stay at your house, is still a strong witness in your brother's life. |

| I really...really enjoyed this one Steve....I think I done said all those Nots....LOL..LOL..LOL...Lord help my children....They know the drill...I think NOT....Not in my house...Not on my watch...Oh praise the Lord..I think God for the nots...I thank GOD my parents had a long list of not's too....because of those nots....The court system don't know me...they don't know my two boys who are 30 and 23...and anybody that knows me ...Knows that I do NOT put up with foolishness when it comes to the things of GOD....I guess you could call me a NOTTY person....LOL....but I love the Lord yall with all of my heart and soul! |
