 In light of the recent events at Va Tech I hope all of you will join with me in prayer for all these precious families who have lost loved ones. Pray also for the ones recovering in the hospital. Pray for the whole campus that God will bring healing. In our Wednesday night class someone wisely said, "We should also pray for the family of the man who committed these terrible acts, his family must really be hurting". This also reminds me of how important it is for us as a church to intensify our efforts to reach people with the gospel of Jesus Christ. These recent events have reminded us once again that we live in a fallen world and the only hope for man is the message of Jesus Christ.
Extreme Makeover: Turning a House into a Home This Sunday we begin our new series on the home, we are praying that God will use this series to strengthen families in our community. We have had a work crew working this week helping us to get ready for this series. There is a surprise in the auditorium for this Sunday. Why do so many families fail? We are going to look at three key ingredients that every home needs. Is it possible to have a God honoring home in this day? I think the answer is yes. Hope to see you Sunday as we focus on the home. 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that [were] on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
If it has been awhile since you read the Pastor's Update, you noticed that we have a different format. I am now posting my update at the MyChurch blog. This site has a lot of good features we can use to draw closer together as a body of believer. If you join you can post comments on a blog or you can start your own blog. Chris Chesley has started his own blog and he is going to try to connect with our teens through it. The mission team has formed a group at the site to help you be informed about their progress. If you would like to join simple go to this link and fill out the simple form. I am trying to post to my blog at least daily so you can keep up with what is going on in our church and in my ministry
 Sunday Night Ron Seabolt with be preaching and following the service we will have a special fellowship called: DEATH BY CHOCOLATE Rumor has it that we will also have some gourmet coffee from the famous coffee maker I have talked about in my blog.:)

- Pizza Hut was great success (see blog)
- Work on parking lot continues
- Jonthan is willing to sacrifice his beard for missions
- Ran into lady today in store who really enjoys the new blog
- Building team meeting with architect on 4.26.07
- Wednesday night teen class is growing :)
- Class 201 for membership is coming in May don't forget to sign up
