...and on a school night!
Here's a thought...upon hearing the message left on Ireland's voice mail.
It sounds like the message was more directed to his wife Kim. It's like the anger was more directed at her but they haven't been communicating so he decided to divert the message through the daughter. I hope she doesn't take it personally because I don't think he meant it for her. It sounded like a man unhappy about the break-up of his family.
The strange thing about this unfortunate and embarrassing episode(s) is this...you know at some time in Alec and Kim's life they were convincing everyone around them and themselves for that matter that this relationship is/was a great idea, them getting married. Then we zoom ahead to the voice mail message left on Ireland's voice mail. Ok, so how does it get from the marriage vows and that giddy "you're dreamy" to an unleashing of these un-pleasantries and treating each other in a way that is almost in-humane for confessing Christians or non-confessing Christians?
Having said all that so far and to make a long story even longer... the answer is counseling with Mark Lundsford and {the little girl in Idaho} Shasta’s father with Shasta coaching Ireland. Jessica Lundsford suffered what no child should ever suffer as has Shasta. Alec and Kim should meet with Shasta's Dad, with Mark Lundsford for a year. They should meet once a week and ask Mark and Shasta's Dad, "How do you recommend we treat each other, talk to each other and be a family for our daughter Ireland?" |
