Three things seen in a woman that all have different outcome and fruit. Charm. The phrase that comes to mind is " She could charm the socks right off of you!" This verse says charm is deceitful or deceptive. True. Definition of charm is a trait that fascinates, allures, or delights. How is it deceptive? Once the fascination is over, the real woman comes through, we can't be charming all the time. We women are charmers when we're after something or someone, if we're honest. But, as soon as we get it.....zap!, the charm is no longer needed...we become the real person we are. Hard words? Yes, but it's true. The fruit she bears from charm quickly sours and rots, if she bears any fruit at all.
Beauty. Some are born beautiful on the outside, but, as my Bible says 'Beauty is fleeting" Whatever beauty my husband saw in me many years ago, isn't me today. The fruit born of beauty can only be passed through the children, and that too ends.
Now, to the last part! This is a beauty that radiants from within, in my opinion. A woman who has reverance for the Lord is glowing, beautiful from the inside out, and doesn't need to charm anyone. She can light up a room with her presence, for the Lord is shining from her. This woman is eternally beautiful, no matter her age, size or station in life because she is a sweet fragrance to the Lord. The fruit she bears is eternal, through each life she has touched for the Lord.
Just my rambling and personal thoughts on this verse :)
31:30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. |

I love your rambling and personal thoughts, they are priceless. Often the blogs you all create generate such thought provoking comments; which I'm so thankful for. Learn so much about a person by their comments, ya know? Joey is sensitive, I love that... about her. We are all fruity ladies; wise as serpents yet gentle as doves. :)
