| A Simple Truth: What to Love, What to Use |
|
| |
I don't know who said this first, but I see the truth of it more and more each time I study scripture
The World's Way Love Things, Use People
God's Way Love People, Use Things
6:8 but if we have food and clothing, with these we shall be content. 6:9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and hurtful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evils; it is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced their hearts with many pangs. 16:13 No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon (Possessions)." |
