As a general rule I like to keep the peace. Maybe to a fault. I know unity is important in the body of christ, I mean you can't have a toe quarelling with a toe nail. But there are an awful lot of things that we cant really compromise on just for the sake of unity. I think we can agree that Jesus is the only God offering eternal life. 67 So Yeshua said to the Twelve, "Don't you want to leave too?" 68 Shim`on Kefa answered him, "Lord, to whom would we go? You have the word of eternal life. 69 We have trusted, and we know that you are the Holy One of God." John 6:67-69 CJB Really Jesus is the only way to the God of Abraham, So there are absolutes. I mean many of the things that we have compromised on to keep the peace seem to be destroying us from the inside out. I mean we now have to define marriage as being between a man and a woman. Duh, that was pretty much a given not to long ago. of course when I was a kid Gay was another word for happy. 16 And others, trying to trap him, demanded from him a sign from Heaven. 17 But he, knowing what they were thinking, said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, with one house collapsing on another. 18 So if the Adversary too is divided against himself, how can his kingdom survive? I'm asking because you claim it is by Ba`al-Zibbul that I drive out the demons. I believe we need to learn to stand together, but if we don't stand on the word we could fall for anything. 25 The rain fell, the rivers flooded, the winds blew and beat against that house, but it didn't collapse, because its foundation was on rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not act on them will be like a stupid man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain fell, the rivers flooded, the wind blew and beat against that house, and it collapsed -- and its collapse was horrendous!"
