There is nothing more satisfying than a good meal. In the face of the tempter, Jesus said. "It is written , Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceedeth from the mouth of God." (Matthew 4:4 KJV). It is my prayer today that in the face of temptation we flee to The Sword, The Word of God and Cry "Victory in Jesus" by The Blood of The Lamb.
THE WORD,THE TRUTH, The Living and Written WORD of GOD Almighty, Our Sword; seek it speak it, feast on it, focus on it, build your faith with it, read it,share it, believe it, trust in it, and sharpen it daily;. For;
John 1:1 "In the beginning there was The Word, and The Word was with God, and The WORD was God"
Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart. "
Our Father in Heaven wants us to all take the time and rest in HIM, HIS WORD, THE TRUTH. In Psalm 46:10a, HE directs us to "Be Still, and know I Am GOD" NKJV. The New American Standard Translation of Psalm 46:10a is " Cease Striving, and know I AM GOD".
Jesus invites us to Come to Him. 28" Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek, and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest unto your souls.30 For my Yoke is easy and my burden is light." ( Matt 11:28-30 KJV) The most powerful words ever spoken were Christ's sixth utterance, from Calvary's Lonely Tree; The Cross on Calvary's Hill. It was there as Jesus gave Himself up To Our Father He said: "It IS Finished ". Jn 19:30
It is my prayer again that the finality of that statement and the completed work of The Cross become real in your heart and walk and that you come to know, you know, you know; we need strive no more. Jesus did it all. Jesus paid the price for every sin that ever was or ever will be; for on that very day:
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.
In HIS Grip, Brother Matt
