| Never thought of it this way until it hit me today. We know that Jesus loves us in that "while we were yet sinners Christ died for us." Reconcile the fact that He is the Son of God, yet his favorite name for himself was Son of Man. He identified with sinful man at his baptism (MT.3:13), while God the Father pointed out that He is His Son (MT.3:16-17). The fact is Jesus loves us. For goodness sake He died on the cross for our sins. Who would sign up for that deal? (We don't want to take the blame for anything we do wrong, much less take the blame for someone else's sins.) Here's the thing that hit me today: not only does Jesus love us, HE LIKES US! As Christians we've all been taught at some time or another to love someone even though we may not like them. You know: "I love him (or her), but I don't necessarily like him (her)." <>Jesus' crazy love for us goes into the depths of love and like. ---That is totally different than any other kind of love. <>
