Good post! There was a saying in our family:  be careful what you pray for -- you might get it. And you are right -- I shudder to think what my life would be like today if God had said yes to even one of my foolish prayers.

Argh. I am so trying to accept his saying no all the time. It does become hard. But he does always know best and he has his hand on everything. and blessing will eventually come in the trials and tribulations

Hello to you My Friend,
I have learn that there are one or two things happening when God don't give us the things we want.
1. It isn't meant for you, it not God's will.
2. It isn't your time.. Jesus constantly told people my hour is not come yet.Time is very
important to God. He has an appointed time for all things. that is why He said be patient
and wait on Him. He also said, what man know what is good for him. How many times
have we gotten things only to say, it isn't what I thought it would be.

We have to learn God's schedule is different from ours, and so is His thinking.

God is with you, in the mist as we speak..!

I thank God for this post my sister....I can certainly look back now, and smile, and thank God that He said NO to some of the things that I thought were suppose to be mine...Had I been given a lot of those things, I would have truly been way out in left field somewhere....totally out of God's perfect will for my life....But like a Good Shepherd....He leads us, and and keeps us on course with our Divine appointment.  Thank you Jesus!!!

I have been enjoying your post, and wanted to thank you for such excellent insight into the Word of GOD.  My 17 year old son is so demanding of what he wants and when he wants what he wants. I am now just beginning to enforce the NO word on his demands, especially on the ones that would cost him more than he could bargain for. I do feel the pain of his disapproval but I am strengthened by the JOY of the LORD in choosing to stand steadfast, unmovable and unshakable. In due season he will come to know the protection, provision and purpose of my decisions not to give him his way all the time.
