If someone comes knocking on your door for a visit what room would you not want them to see?
I know with me it's my bedroom closet I keep all the things I don't want anyone to see so it's full of junk trash!
I knew a person that when people came a knocking she put the dirty dishes in the bathroom shower to hide them,Hey I know you can shower and wash the dishes at the same time!
If I came a knocking on your door what room would you not want me to see? Is it your bathroom,or are you like me your closet full of trash and at times you can't shout the door.
Do you all remember the story song about a old man one Christmas eve he was told that the lord was coming to his house,so he cooked the best Christmas dinner for his Lord that Christmas.He waited all day first a little Child was lost so he help the child and comfort the child until the mother found him.Then a old woman walked passed tired and cold so he brought her in and warm her.Now it was getting late and the Lord have not came yet.Then came a homeless man with no coat or food so the man took him in his home and warm him,feed him the dinner that he had prepared for The Lord and gave him a coat. Now it was after midnight and no Lord he was very sad.The lord said way so sad? the man said You never came to visit me like you said.The Lord said don't be sad I was there three times and you took me in.When I was lost you comfort me,when I was cold you warmed me,when I was hungry you feed me.
What would you do if Jesus come a knocking on your door? Would you let Him in? You know you have to have Him see a clean house,But have if He wanted to see your closet you know sometime we have allot of trash that we want but don't need!
3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
My friends Jesus is at the door a knocking now what to do?
In the Early 1980's I wrote this about a picture of Jesus at a door we all have seen this picture!
He is Knocking
What is different about this door?
It has no doorknob,it is the door to your heart.Only you can open it.
When we accept Jesus,we should be like little children.Open the door,let Him in and hurry up and shut it quickly so He can not get out.

On Nov.3,1983 I wrote this:
Knocking
He was knocking!
Did you let Him in,or did you harden your heart and never answer His calling?
The choice is yours.
So do we let Him in? I hope so but we have to take out the trash Jesus can't live in a dirty home,He is Holy and the whole place need to be clean.Jesus paid to have our house clean on the cross if we let Him He will be with us keeping house so please take out the trash don't be like me saying who let the trash in.We all know nobody but us let sin in and the only way to keep it out is put Jesus there instead.
So who taking out the trash oh me and Jesus!!! |

| Doyle that is a cool story never heard it but it was obvious the Lord had come to visit Him. As to my house, I have 5 children visitors will have to overlook a few things. But, for our spiritual hous there are no excuses for His blood washes away every stain. That is good stuff brother! |

| I sometimes throw my dirty clothes basket in the shower...so I identify! Love your writings about Jesus knocking...good questions...bring on the garbage truck, because I want more of Him and less of ME!!! Thanks for an awesome post!!! |

| I love that story... I dont think I've heard it before either. My actual house mmmmm I dont think Jesus would care one way or the other how clean IT was, and boy am I glad haha, but my heart... now thats another story entirly isnt it? It's those places you hide away inside yourself to ashamed to show anyone... those are the "rooms" he wants to get in, becuase only then will they be really clean huh? | Well Doyle you put it very well. There is also a country song called if Jesus came to your house. Well if he came to my house I would have to get dressed because sometimes it is so hot in the morning I just sit in my boxers until I turn the air on. Hey I'm in my place and no one else is here but my wife! |
