We are not to advocate sin...but to embrace those who sin...who am I? Can you throw any stones? God can use what may have been meant for evil... I'm not putting God in a box....

Steve you may not realize the impact you have on people. You are making more of a difference than you realize for yourself. You take a strong stand for the word of God and God honors them that honor him. I'm a no nonsense type of person myself and I'm not afraid of the devil or anyone else. I fear him that is able to cast me into hell. Keep on keeping on Steve. I got your back!

Cheryl:  The Bible also teaches that we believers are to repent (turn away from) our sins and to call others to turn away from their sins as we "speak the truth in love."

Thanks for the encouragement, Prophet Jay.  It is much easier to dodge the Word that it is to deal with it and allow it to deal with me.  For some reason, God won't let me dodge or be silent, even though many times I would run than admit my sins and the sins that are being promoted as "good" in our society.

Even this is fast becoming an issue as way, way too many do so through their rosy-colored glasses bent by their cultural, denominational (or non), generational bias. Yes, bias. I believe the scriptures can echoe this out better than I:

For it is time for judgment to begin with God's household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? And,
       "If it is hard for the righteous to be saved,
       what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?"

Great word Steve, I agree with brother Jay! Political correctness has caused people to be blase about important issues and therefore increased sin as a consequence. Keep the Wrong way signs and shout them out if need be.

Judgemental is when you cast the person down based on their sin..When we think we're better and ready to prosecute people by putting them in a heaven or a hell...which we can't even do..that to me is judgemental....There is nothing judgemental about standing up with what's right....We must give the truth..If we don't, who will

Powerful blog my friend....and I thank GOD for your BOLDNESS...It's time out for pacifying sin, and making people think that sin is OK...Well it is NOT OK....Let the BIBLE speak for itself.....Unfortunately when you do that most Christians....want to throw the LOVE factor up in your face...God is LOVE...LOVE LOVE...We must show LOVE......

Well what most don't realize is that when we speak the Word of God....We *are* demonstrating the Love of God...by trying to get you on the right track....I say preach on my brother....preach on and let the chips fall where they may ;o)

I think of it - and give attention to others in this way -  as our being given a coral (fenced area) that the Lord has put in place for the safety and well being of His flock. Have a blessed day st sims.

We are to be a light in the darkness, showing the way to those who are lost and wandering the wrong way.   A lighthouse does not lead a ship into danger(the wrong way) but clearly points the way to safety.

KEEP THE WRONG WAY SIGNS CLEAR, AND EVEN MORE CLEARLY, POST THE SIGNS THAT SAY 'THIS IS THE WAY, WALK THIS WAY'

Awesome blog!!!! I am so tired of political correctness, I'm tired of excuses from so called educated ppl who blame sin on other things, I'm tired of God and His Word being picked at to get what a person wants out of it, then the rest disregarded.....ok, I'm on a soapbox, hehehe, better get down.
A sin is a sin is a sin. We have the 'right way" sign and the "wrong way" sign, it is God and His Word.

Amen, Cindy Lou.  Political correctness is very often completely incorrect.  And I agree, we should take God's Word for what it plainly says and not pick "at it to get what a person wants out of it."

I like the examplel you use-the "wrong way" sign! But like you said we have something inside us that tells wrong from right you called it the "human conscience" in Christians we may say its the "holy spirit" but if one chooses to ignore the sign and then someone else comes at you claiming to have good news but shouting at you "WRONG WAY" I think thats where it can be thought of as "judgmental". Even though you may be trying to save a life this person already heard "WRONG WAY"once maybe we need to come at them differently with a little more love since they may need that... seeing that they have decided to try to kill themselves.:)

To answer your question Steve,    I corin 6: 9-11 are informative scriptures, not judgemental. To share them, as you have.......is informative.

Good point, paul.  Informing someone that they are going the wrong way isn't judging or judgmental.  In fact, that is true love. 

To be "tolerant" and passively watch someone self-destruct is a lack of love.

Steve; I have heard sooooooo many ppl say when they see someone falling " It's not my problem, it's between them and God"....it is our problem! I agree with your statement on being tolerant and passive.....it is lack of love.

Steve,  this is so important, and I keep coming back.

This reminds me of the mother who warns her child, saying,  "dont touch the stove honey, it's hot and you'll burn yourself".    It's simply a warning.

Now, in the verses mentioned,     GOD IS SAYING........

6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

the whole idea here......is really pretty simple.   Do we believe this is God's Word?   Does He mean what He says?     I have accepted the Bible as God's Word.  He RULES, HE MAKES THE RULES !  (there,I said it, the word .....rules)   This warning was/is written to Christians, it is very plain, and very simple.   He is God, I am not !    My advice  ........to myself and all other believers is, take God's advice. 
We can't come to Christ and walk any old way we want to.
We come to Christ........and He empowers us to walk in His ways. (if you wish, see my blog,  what do you think....)

Absolutely excellent post and thought Steve. These "signs" of God saying Wrong Way are for our protection. I heard one person say, and I concur, that before we come to Christ we are under the Law and after we have come to him, it becomes a smooth highway to guide our feet!

   I'd also add that postmodernism (emergent church) has also screwed with our minds on this subject. Postmodernism used to simply be called existential thought 25 years ago, same thing, new cover, and the newest emerging church is simply existentialism brought into the church. "God's law or chaos", is the slogan that depicts what you are speaking of.

Thanks for the comment and the star, recon77!  The wrong way is still the wrong way, even under grace.  The difference between grace and the law is that under grace we have the living Christ within us to give us supernatural power to live right and obey God's rules.  That is called "sanctification."  And indeed, if we abandon God's law, we will experience chaos.

   A Judge does not make the law that points the finger, he just matches the offence to what others have made into law which are those who points the finger at the wrong.

   Our Heavenly Father is the one doing the judging, and pointing the finger as we match the offence with the word!
