Thank you, Cheryl and Bubbles, for the encouraging comments and the stars.  It isn't easy to write articles that speak against what the Bible teaches is wrong behavior.  Thank you for making it a little easier.  "If one can chase a thousand, two can chase ten thousand."

We are not to advocate sin...but to embrace those who sin...who am I? Can you throw any stones? God can use what may have been meant for evil... I'm not putting God in a box....

Steve you may not realize the impact you have on people. You are making more of a difference than you realize for yourself. You take a strong stand for the word of God and God honors them that honor him. I'm a no nonsense type of person myself and I'm not afraid of the devil or anyone else. I fear him that is able to cast me into hell. Keep on keeping on Steve. I got your back!

Cheryl:  The Bible also teaches that we believers are to repent (turn away from) our sins and to call others to turn away from their sins as we "speak the truth in love."

Thanks for the encouragement, Prophet Jay.  It is much easier to dodge the Word that it is to deal with it and allow it to deal with me.  For some reason, God won't let me dodge or be silent, even though many times I would run than admit my sins and the sins that are being promoted as "good" in our society.

Powerful Scriptures, froccer.  It is difficult to dodge those verses.  Time is short.

Great word Steve, I agree with brother Jay! Political correctness has caused people to be blase about important issues and therefore increased sin as a consequence. Keep the Wrong way signs and shout them out if need be.

Michael:  Thanks for the encouraging words.

Stuart:  Good point.  If we are going the wrong way and believe we are going the right way, we are in a heap of trouble.

Judgemental is when you cast the person down based on their sin..When we think we're better and ready to prosecute people by putting them in a heaven or a hell...which we can't even do..that to me is judgemental....There is nothing judgemental about standing up with what's right....We must give the truth..If we don't, who will

Great Post

Powerful blog my friend....and I thank GOD for your BOLDNESS...It's time out for pacifying sin, and making people think that sin is OK...Well it is NOT OK....Let the BIBLE speak for itself.....Unfortunately when you do that most Christians....want to throw the LOVE factor up in your face...God is LOVE...LOVE LOVE...We must show LOVE......

Well what most don't realize is that when we speak the Word of God....We *are* demonstrating the Love of God...by trying to get you on the right track....I say preach on my brother....preach on and let the chips fall where they may ;o)

I think of it - and give attention to others in this way -  as our being given a coral (fenced area) that the Lord has put in place for the safety and well being of His flock. Have a blessed day st sims.

Denise:  A coral is a good way to look at God's rules.  They are for our protection.

We are to be a light in the darkness, showing the way to those who are lost and wandering the wrong way.   A lighthouse does not lead a ship into danger(the wrong way) but clearly points the way to safety.

KEEP THE WRONG WAY SIGNS CLEAR, AND EVEN MORE CLEARLY, POST THE SIGNS THAT SAY 'THIS IS THE WAY, WALK THIS WAY'

Stay blessed Steve and keep the Good Word coming

Awesome blog!!!! I am so tired of political correctness, I'm tired of excuses from so called educated ppl who blame sin on other things, I'm tired of God and His Word being picked at to get what a person wants out of it, then the rest disregarded.....ok, I'm on a soapbox, hehehe, better get down.
A sin is a sin is a sin. We have the 'right way" sign and the "wrong way" sign, it is God and His Word.
Steve Simms
July 23, 2008
Amen, Cindy Lou.  Political correctness is very often completely incorrect.  And I agree, we should take God's Word for what it plainly says and not pick "at it to get what a person wants out of it."

I like the examplel you use-the "wrong way" sign! But like you said we have something inside us that tells wrong from right you called it the "human conscience" in Christians we may say its the "holy spirit" but if one chooses to ignore the sign and then someone else comes at you claiming to have good news but shouting at you "WRONG WAY" I think thats where it can be thought of as "judgmental". Even though you may be trying to save a life this person already heard "WRONG WAY"once maybe we need to come at them differently with a little more love since they may need that... seeing that they have decided to try to kill themselves.:)

Great comments, Paul.

That is some good insight, Sista April.

July 24, 2008
Good point, paul.  Informing someone that they are going the wrong way isn't judging or judgmental.  In fact, that is true love.

To be "tolerant" and passively watch someone self-destruct is a lack of love.
Cindy
July 24, 2008
Steve; I have heard sooooooo many ppl say when they see someone falling " It's not my problem, it's between them and God"....it is our problem! I agree with your statement on being tolerant and passive.....it is lack of love.

Absolutely excellent post and thought Steve. These "signs" of God saying Wrong Way are for our protection. I heard one person say, and I concur, that before we come to Christ we are under the Law and after we have come to him, it becomes a smooth highway to guide our feet!

Steve,

I'd also add that postmodernism (emergent church) has also screwed with our minds on this subject. Postmodernism used to simply be called existential thought 25 years ago, same thing, new cover, and the newest emerging church is simply existentialism brought into the church. "God's law or chaos", is the slogan that depicts what you are speaking of.

Steve Simms
July 24, 2008
Thanks for the comment and the star, recon77!  The wrong way is still the wrong way, even under grace.  The difference between grace and the law is that under grace we have the living Christ within us to give us supernatural power to live right and obey God's rules.  That is called "sanctification."  And indeed, if we abandon God's law, we will experience chaos.

Isn't it amazing how easily the world throws away common sense like what you've written just to satisfy its own lusts.  God help America!

   Good Blog Steve

A Judge does not make the law that points the finger, he just matches the offence to what others have made into law which are those who points the finger at the wrong.

Our Heavenly Father is the one doing the judging, and pointing the finger as we match the offence with the word!

Hello,
As I read this verse again, I just wanted to as a question.  I've been a Christian for almost 30yrs. now and have always believed in "once saved, always saved."  And I still believe this way.  What about a teen who has accepted the Lord but is following the world 100%?  What about a person who accepted the Lord in his/her 20's and now is falling for all the lies of this world.  And some still read their Bibles while serving the world instead of our Precious Lord.  It breaks my heart to see this.  But it does say in the Bible that in the last days children will become rebellious, and that we are truly seeing.
I guess I would like to hear comments about "once saved, always saved."  I do believe this way, and I know that God will only take so much rebellion, then you reap what you sow.  Sometimes that may mean an early death, or something will come into your life so God can and will get your attention.
Thank You & God Bless

Nan:  An angel told Joseph that Jesus "will save his people from their sins."  Not just from the punishment for their sins, but from the bondage to their sins.  If someone is till in bondage to sin, how is she/he saved?

Nannato11

I truly believe that when a person accepts Jesus as their personal Lord & Saviour, that they must desire to turn from their wicked ways.  And the Bible says that we shall bear fruit.  So if someone doesn't turn away from bondage and shows no fruit, it is likely they really didn't accept the Lord.  But I also know that only God knows our hearts.
I truly believe when someone prays to accept the Lord, there will be a change.  Some people just don't take this seriously.  I knew I was a new creation and desired to follow Jesus.
Thank-you for you comment.
