Matthew 8:2-3 KJV And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth [his] hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Okay, how many of you know this one? This is a classic, and one of my favorites. Ready Now? Altogether now, at the count of-a 1 and-a 2 and-a 3... Shackled by a heavy burden, 'neath a load of guilt and shame Then the hand of Jesus touched me, and now I am no longer the same He touched me, Oh He touched me, and oh the joy floods my soul Something happened and now I know He touched me and made me whole! Has he touched you? Then why do you feel so incomplete, as if something is still missing? Didn't Jesus get it right the first time? Or perhaps there is something that is hindering his power to work in you. What could that be? Oh my! Did you mess up again? Isaiah 59:2 KJV But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid [his] face from you, that he will not hear. If its just an itty bitty sin issue, then you can do something about that! How bad can it be? Doesn't God forgive all sin? God is just waiting for you to admit you've been wrong and he is ready willing and able to approach you with open arms! James 4:8 KJV Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse [your] hands, [ye] sinners; and purify [your] hearts, [ye] double minded. As long as you keep walking in the wrong direction you are just going to keep going further and further away from God. Make a U-Turn! Don't worry, you won't get a ticket for hanging a U-turn on the King's highway. The King Jesus Christ is just ahead, well beyond the detour that took you out of the way for a little while. If you get stuck just call for help. There are crews (legions of angels) working night and day the keep the flow of traffic moving at a steady pace. Just try to stay off the freeway. That shimmering wide road is backed up from here to Timbuktu! Everybody thinks the freeway will get them to their destination much faster so they all go that way. Proverbs 16:25 KJV There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof [are] the ways of death. The King's highway is narrow with a lot of twists and turns, amd a lot of hills and valleys, but if you stay on it, you will get to your destination sure enough. The road can be rough, but the longer you drive on it the better it gets. If Jesus is your co-pilot you need to pull over and let him take the wheel. He knows which way to go better than you do. I just know that when he touched me I was never the same again. Let him touch you right now. Invite him to come and touch you right where you are. If you need healing ask him to touch the part of your body that is ailing you. If you have enough faith hold your arms out like he is there with you and let him hug you. This is not hocus-pocus or mumbo-jumbo. Jesus is real and there is no reason why he can't do whatever he wants to. All you have to do is be willing to receive it. Once you do receive it, try touching somebody with that same love. Like the old telephone commercial used to say, "Reach out and touch someone"! God bless you! |
