One of the greatest benefits to the Christian walk is the blessing of knowing that we do not have to worry about our future in heaven.  Jesus said that He was going back to prepare a place for us and that one day we would accompany Him there.  But, what about the present?  God has left us His promise that we will also enjoy the blessing of God in this life as well.  The writer of the Psalm says, "I shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!"  What a tremendous promise.

Sometimes when I look around and I see so much that I could be frustrated about or get aggrevated over, I have to remind myself of God's favor, goodness, and blessing in the land of the living.  In this lifetime as well as the lifetime to come.  This doesn't mean we will not go through difficulties, struggles, trials, and even tribulations but we have a promise that we will also see God's goodness.  Now that's something worth focusing on!
