Small acts of kindness toward our neighbors can be very fulfilling. Not only for the receiver but for the giver, as well. God has said, that whatsoever a man sows, that and only that shall he reap. This is a law that He has set down; that he does not have to keep watch over. It will automatically work and it works for everyone. Jesus said:  but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matt 6:20-21 NKJV.
When we show kindness to our fellow man, there are no regrets or worries about consequences.  I heard a man once say that we are all as our Lord was; being crucified between two thieves. The regrets of yesterday and worries of tomorrow.  When we show kindness toward our neighbor these two thieves no longer exist. I have came across ten small things, if they are put into practice it will never bring about regrets or worries, but they will bring those treasures that moths can’t eat, and thieves cannot break in and steal.

1. Showing respect to the elderly. Showing kindness toward those whose years on this earth are more advance then ours is the number one thing that we all should be practicing, if only for this reason, that one day we all will be considered OLD.
2. Acting kindly toward a stranger in need of help. – This is what scripture says concerning strangers.He administers justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the stranger, giving him food and clothing. Therefore love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. Deut 10:18-19 NKJV.  It’s funny as I was reading this I thought to myself; at some time or another we are all strangers to someone somewhere!
3. Destroying a letter written in anger.

5. Offering an apology and restoring a relationship:Words...are real things, they curse or they encourage, they praise or they damn, they build or they destroy. So often we are not mindful of our words and the impact they will have on others. The bible has many things to say about our words, a wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit. Prov 15:4 NKJV. Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking deceit. Ps 34:13 NKJV. I said, “I will guard my ways, Lest I sin with my tongue; I will restrain my mouth with a muzzle, While the wicked are before me.” Ps 39:1 NKJV. The old testament writers understood how powerful the spoken word is, death and life are in the power of the tongue,  and those who love it will eat its fruit. Prov 18:21 NKJV. In the beginning the bible says: “Then God said” Gen1:3-6-9-11-14-20-24-26 NKJV.  God created the heavens and this world we live in,it is my prayer that all would come to the understanding that the worlds in which we all live in; Are created by the words we say!
6. Extending forgiveness to an enemy someone who has hurt you. Forgiving those who have caused us pain is not an easy thing to do, but it must be done, Jesus said: “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matt 6:14-15 NKJV.
   When we come to Christ we ask him to forgive us for the sins that we did, but in order to receive that forgiveness we must also forgive those who have sinned against us. Throughout the bible you will find that there is a give and receive principle going on, “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”Luke 6:37-38 NKJV. If there is something that you desire in this life and it is his will for you to have it, give it away! Cast your bread upon the waters, For you will find it after many days. Eccl 11:1 NKJV. Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy. Matt 5:7 NKJV.
7. Listening to hurting people:   When you’re listening to your friends, really listen, allow them to repeat the same story over and over again, for some strange reason the repetition defuses the intensity of their loss and makes it possible for healing to take place. So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; James 1:19 NKJV. In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips is wise.Prov 10:19 NKJV. Every grieving person needs someone who will simply listen.
8. Living according to your conviction:   In our modern world, our real danger comes not from irreligion, but from mild religion. (D. Elton Trueblood). So you say you are a believer in and a follower of God? Can I ask you this question? Can everyone who looks upon you tell? Are you just a Christian on Sunday? If you were silent to the last two questions you need to take a good long look at yourself, we should all be trying to move closer to God every day.
9. Maintaining personal ethics and integrity when everyone else is doing it.” References to different types of integrity, such as intellectual artistic and personal integrity, abound in the philosophical literature on integrity and everyday discourse. Because integrity involves managing various commitments and values, one might conjecture that such types of integrity are simply manifestations of a person's overall integrity, or of their personal integrity. However, there are many people who we are inclined to say have intellectual but not personal integrity—or who have more of the former than the latter. We as children of the highest God Must in every aspect of our lives maintain the highest level of integrity that we can. The things that we hold in high esteem, the precepts statues and commandment of God are the FOUNDATION on which our integrity should be based on.
10. Treating all those around you with dignity, diplomacy, and kindness: We are called to treat everyone we come in contact with; with kindness, Our Lord said to (love our neighbor as ourselves) No matter what level of society they might belong to, From the C.E.O of a big corporation to the homeless man standing on the corner begging for spare change. Even that man or woman at work, who we know is truly evil, And we know that the word of God does not dwell in them, and those who when the word of God came up in a conversation cursed it, We must still treat them with dignity and kindness, For God has said: and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.  Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. Luke 6:35-36 NKJV.
