All through out the Bible, God is found using fire as a symbol of ways of showing himself true. We read in Exodus where God appeared to moses in a burning bush,,although the bush was burning, fire never consumned the bush!!! God was in the fire when he led the children of Isreal for fourty years in the wilderness, how? He led them by a cloud of smoke by day, and a pillar of fire by night!!
Exodus 13:21-22 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, [from] before the people.
Elijah proclaimed before Ahab, the prophets of Baal. and Jezebel's followers, that the God that answered by fire would be the true God, AND...God quickly showed them that He was God. In Isaiah 43:2, it says that: When thou passest through the waters, I [will be] with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. He is truely with us always. through every trial, every sorrow, everything we face. God is faithful to keep his promises. glory hallelujah!!!!! The three Hebrew children, when thrown into the fiery furnace heated 7 times hotter than normal, came out without a sindged hair, a burn, and they didn't even smell of smoke..why? there was a fourth man walking in the fire with them...wooohooooo glory to God. Just by these alone, we know that God is truely with us every step we take, and he is more than able to keep that which is his. If you are entering into, or in the middle of a fiery trial, rest assured that God is with you. He will take you through the fire again and again, and you'll not even smell of smoke. He truely makes a way, where there seems to be no way!!!! John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. 2 Timothy 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. God bless you. |
