Have you ever made satan mad? You know we war against principalities of darkness and when we are ministering to others...it just makes life harder and satan really just hates you! THAT is what has happened to Scott and Ruth!!!!
Scott by no error of his own, stepped into a business situation that God opened up and allowed a ministry to come forward in. In the process, Ruth has been at home taking care of Scott's mom and now since Scott has been away some help is needed with the utilities...as of today, an EXTRA $100.00 has been added to the gas bill since it has taken so long for the utility to be turned on.....
Today's UPDATE From Ruth:
I just got off the phone with them.
They added another 100 something to the bill!!!!!
They said that because it has been off so long they sent out the final bill on the account.
*sigh*
so now the total to get it on is 635.89
They also said there was no money paid on the account
Can you help them?
The following is a plea from their Pastor for funds to finalize a situation that started the ministry Scott is in helping men come out of bondage: (The first part of the attached is mine)

Right now, their Pastor came to me, letter enclosed, and asked if I could help...we need as many members of MyChurch and the Family of God to help this man. He was wrongly imprisoned several months back due to a financial error that he did not commit in a business. The Prosecutor has lied many times...some of them proven; however, due to injustice...Brother Scott has continued to stay locked up. As of last week he was allowed, with a financial amount attached to the deal, to be released. God provided and released this man with an overwhelming miracle!
Only a certain amount of money was provided and not the total amount that the judge had declared. As the claimants came forward to receive the final payment on simple business deals that had frozen in the process of the liquidation of assets...the exact dollar amount that was raised was the exact dollar-for-dollar amount that was needed for Scott to satisfy the court in a good faith effort to clear the financials of this business....keep in mind, he had nothing to do with the error.
Now, his Pastor has exhausted all means to help him and a financial amount still needs to be satisfied to meet the safe keeping of Scott being out of prison and shortly reunited with his brand new wife....Ruth. They had finally found each other and had just been married a brief time when this test of a lifetime entered their new marriage....talk about a test of faith and endurance!
Enclosed is the letter from their Pastor...all resources have been verified and a news story in their local town was also broadcast as to the injustice and fraud on the behalf of the other side.
It is Vital that they receive help and they need it immediately.

| | |  | Hello Cheryl, Pastor Shawn here from New Orleans responding back to you. i dont know what your current situation is, but i know you mentioned in june that you wanted to help with the money we are raising for scott. We raised over $16,000 to get him most of the way there, but our resources are getting low. We have to finish raising the last $8,000 or so by Sept 9th or he goes to trial. i am convinced that if that happens, they will lie or do whatever it takes to make sure he spends a minimum of 10 years in jail. please do whatever you can and tell whoever you can as quick as you can to help us get this done in time.

| I remember having my electricity cut twice and my phone being turned off as well as no internet service and no food in the fridge or cabinets. I was without heat in dead winter twice but God did not fail me. No one helped me at all but God himself made provision in ways that astounded me. God has never forsaken his people or left their seed begging bread. Prayers going up! |

Ask and you shall receive, knock and it will be opened to you. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord. The earth is the Lords and the fullness thereof...and we are co-inheritors with Him in all things. Remember that faith has a deaf ear to the physical senses and the devil but an open ear to God and His word, and works by love, and love is something we do (operate in), and faith produces good works, sees them in the future as accomplished and gives us that vision and our faithful constant confession of His promises brings it about because His word is all-powerful and He watches over it to perform it and has indeed put His Holy Spirit in us which brings to rememberance His Truth. All we have to do is stay the course, knowing that God is faithful to bring us through the fire. If He brought you to it He will bring you through it. Praise Him for His faithfulness, that is what He deserves, He is worthy and we will be singing this together in His very presence very soon. He always responds to praise because He inhabits the praises of His people. I am helping in every way I can, and I hope there are other followers of Christ who are listening to His heart expressed in His word.
2:14 What [doth it] profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 2:15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be [ye] warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what [doth it] profit? We should do good especially to those of the household of faith....its in the word somewhere. 7:12 All things therefore whatsoever ye would that men should do unto you, even so do ye also unto them: for this is the law and the prophets. Does He speak to your heart? Does His Holy Word touch you? Is it not the reason we live and have life, for he spoke it all into existence, and in Him we live and move and have our being. God bless you all with the gift of being sensitive to His still small voice. |

| This man's legal issues are more than a mere case of trespassing, which honestly and judging by the information posted, these charges are most likely to be dismissed or on exhausting circumstances a fine would have been applied, maximum $500. What can really be deducted from here is that he was accused of defrauding some clients and providers. In this case his bond would have been smaller than $300,000 , only 10% of this is paid to the court, then it goes to trial on a set date. He should not be paying any monies unless a judgement has been entered by a court. On the other hand if he has declared bankruptcy, this would have been dealt in Federal circuit an arrangement is made (usually chapter 11, reorganization) , which it means that he is protected as long as he complies with the amount to be paid each month on his debts. From a legal point this doesn't make any sense. The only reason I think that he is being held is that there have been many motions for payment that have been brought to court and that each one of them have been treated separately in this case only bond will apply until a court day is set. Honestly this makes no sense something else is going on here. |

| Your right, something else is going on, it is called fraud and lying by the other side's attorney....which is common when they are trying to get who they are representing off or the case dismissed. Did you see the News story? I don't know what state your in but in this state and how this judge has ruled it...this is what this man is looking at. Here on MyChurch, many many of us have followed this investigation for approx 8 months now and have seen the ins and outs...so to post what you would believe the dollar amount and the action that needs to be taken is understandable; however, it is not reality to this situation. Also, being in the legal system myself and having been raised by a Police Officer and Detective, I know the legal system is not upstanding and usually based on politics....I do know this first hand.....also, politically, my uncle was Mayor, many of my family have been in the political system...I know it is based on what is beneficial for others and who cares who takes the fall....it is usually based on who has more money and can buy a Bull Dog Attorney who possibly may take a judge out to dinner, or go fishing...yes these things still happen...even as of last week! |

Mariah and Juan - It does seem unbelievable, doesn't it? That there could be something this corrupt going on in the USA...but it happens. This is all going on down in New Orleans, in a very corrupt parish. I'm not saying that you shouldn't be initially doubtful, but as Cheryl has said, many of us have been 'in this' with the couple involved since the beginning. The legal system is set up for many loop-holes and ways to keep people imprisoned. Couple that with police and 'DA's" judges and prosecutors that are all looking for a taste, and monetary amounts balloon. Go back and read the blogs about all of this. The guy basically bought a store that was screwing their customers, wanted to make it right, got taken by his landlord...and the former customers wanted a scapegoat. So, it became a case of "I want to press charges" on fraud and things like that. |
