58:10 and if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul: then shall thy light rise in darkness, and thine obscurity be as the noonday; 58:11 and Jehovah will guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in dry places, and make strong thy bones; and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
Her long, soft curly-brown hair draped over her sage-green summer dress as she held the strong weathered hands of the man she just said "I Do" to. With a new found safety and security in their hearts they knew after being single for many years, they had found the person God intended for them to be with. He was casual but still dressed sharp and she loved how he could look so sharp in her eyes, yet divine in his tender love for her. God had brought them to each other...and they both knew they had found home in each other until they rest in the arms of the Lord.
God has made a promise in the above verse in Isaiah, that we would be like " a watered garden"--that is, we will receive the water we need for refreshment and joy in life.
In John Piper's, When the Darkness Will Not Lift, he says about Isaiah 58, "..we will thus be 'a spring of water' that does not fail--for others, for the demanding, exhausting, draining ministry of urban self-giving. He saw that God's way of lifting gloom and turning it into light was to "pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted".
The love story above is real,

Also, the 10 year to life prison sentence is real for Scott if a simple $8,000.00 amount is not satisfied. His Pastor already has exhausted the means they have of reaching this end; he has turned to us, MyChurch family, to help with the last amount or in reality, the couple above will be split, if not permanently. Below is a letter from their Pastor. My last two blogs have been about this need....please read for more information or simply give...may God bless and water your gardens...may your territory be as Jabez and grow beyond what eye has seen and ear has heard...would you do the same for this innocent family.....
Also, I just received this mesage from Roy on MyChurch:
Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil" (II Kings 4:2b). Every disciple of the Lord Jesus is at a different level of growth and spiritual maturity. But may I say that no matter how long you have walked with the Lord - be it several years or only a day - you have at least one "pot of oil" in your house. Now what you do with that one pot of oil makes the difference between a victorious life and a defeated life. The single pot of oil is not much in and of itself. It is not sufficient to meet the demands of your creditors, nor is it sufficient to sustain your spiritual life. It is only sufficient when it is poured forth. The one who "saves" his life will lose his life, but the one who "pours out" his life will really have it in abundance.
May we be the hands and feet and use the resurrection power that raised Jesus from the dead and let it flood this family with gifts and donations:
It is Vital that they receive help and they need it immediately.
Please send any dollar amount to the address listed at the bottom of the Pastors letter I share with permission:
| | | | Hello Cheryl, Pastor Shawn here from New Orleans responding back to you. i dont know what your current situation is, but i know you mentioned in june that you wanted to help with the money we are raising for scott. We raised over $16,000 to get him most of the way there, but our resources are getting low. We have to finish raising the last $8,000 or so by Sept 9th or he goes to trial. i am convinced that if that happens, they will lie or do whatever it takes to make sure he spends a minimum of 10 years in jail. please do whatever you can and tell whoever you can as quick as you can to help us get this done in time.
****People can make checks payable to:
Community Church 430 Maine St. Jefferson, LA 70121
they can also do paypal through the churches paypal account. they would have to call me to walk them through that.
thanks again,
Shawn Johnson Lead Pastor Community Church 504.400.2725 shawn@sgtprint.com | |
I ask you to help in unity as the family of God and rescue this family...they have endured enough! Feel free to take this to your churches...pass the word on MyChurch also with your friends...any benefit help is appreciated....all gifts are tax deductable. |

Also:
| Your right, something else is going on, it is called fraud and lying by the other side's attorney....which is common when they are trying to get who they are representing off or the case dismissed. Did you see the News story? I don't know what state your in but in this state and how this judge has ruled it...this is what this man is looking at. Here on MyChurch, many many of us have followed this investigation for approx 8 months now and have seen the ins and outs...so to post what you would believe the dollar amount and the action that needs to be taken is understandable; however, it is not reality to this situation. Also, being in the legal system myself and having been raised by a Police Officer and Detective, I know the legal system is not upstanding and usually based on politics....I do know this first hand.....also, politically, my uncle was Mayor, many of my family have been in the political system...I know it is based on what is beneficial for others and who cares who takes the fall....it is usually based on who has more money and can buy a Bull Dog Attorney who possibly may take a judge out to dinner, or go fishing...yes these things still happen...even as of last week! |

| The points you brought up have been in the open as they occured for the past 8 months too, we are aware of what has been said, and as posted by others that were in the court room, the findings and financial side to this have completely been in Scott's favor; however, due to what...we don't know....Scott is the only one being punished for something he did not do.....read the complete story on her blogs also...see the reference people listed on her blogs, they are MyChurch members. Thank you. God loves a cheerful giver..... |
