7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 7:15Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer [that is made] in this place. 7:16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually. The keys to revival are found in four points of this message.
1. People must humble themselves, "God can't do anything with folks he can't tell anything." God can't do anything for folks that knows more than God does.
2. Pray, Prayer is our means of communication with God. Ask and it shall be given unto you, Seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you. Man ought to pray always without fainting and without ceasing make your petitions known.
3. Seek my face, This gets a little more involved than now I lay me down to sleep. This is like the widow woman that kept going to the King about her troubling enemy, she just stayed after the King to do something about this enemy until he could take no more an avenged her.
4. Turn from their wicked ways, What do you mean God's people having wicked ways. That probably the biggest reason, they were not hearing from God. Could be the reason the rain was failing and the enemies were always springing up to cause troubles. Have you ever noticed that when God's people get away from a closeness with him, that the enemy always shows up. God promises to be faithful to his people, if they are willing to be faithful to him. If my people the responsibility falls back on God's people to humble themselves, pray and seek his face. There won't be any wicked ways, if my people do those needful things first. What have you done for God lately? If my People.................... |
