21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and [so] that day come upon you unawares. 21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. I hear people denouncing Christ and the Lord, so blatantly, that I don't know whether I should pity them. I try to steer them to the truth, and some of them are so embittered that they blame the Lord for their lot in life. One person asked me, well if, you believe in Him so much, why doesn't He cure you. I told this person that it is not my will, but His that determines how I walk in this life. If He has chosen for me to be ill, then there must be a reason. I,also, said that I know that someplace better was waiting for me when my life here on Earth has ended. This person is now dying from cancer, and I pray that they come to know the Lord, before it is too late. This person has denied the Lord, time and time again, and now He/She has the opportunity to put things right with the Lord, as Saul, who became Paul did in the New Testament. There is no burden that we can't bear, if we keep the Lord first and always in our heart and in our lives. None of us are perfect and will stumble and fall, but knowing that He loves us and we love Him that nothing is impossible. Another reason that I feel these are the last days is the way that I see people in society behave and many have turned their backs on what is important. I cry when I see somebody homeless that I want to help. I am on benefit, because of my ill health, so I pray for the Lord to send me the ones that He knows that I can help. What I mean by helping is for example: One of His sheep seeking the truth of the Lord, and for some reason has been led away. He sent me such a person, and their faith in the Lord is growing, not by me, but by the Lord giving me the words that they needed to hear to strengthen them. This is just one example. He knows in my heart that I would help every poor, hungry, lost soul, if I could. Especially, as I know the pain of hunger, homelessness, illness, and poverty. However, the Lord never gives me more than I can carry, and I know that like when I was homeless, I had to go to Him. He in many cases, is just waiting for them to come back. In other cases, He loves them and He knows that they love Him, but I don't believe it is right for people to blame Him for all the suffering in the world. Most of the suffering is man-made. People are starving, because of the governments putting the price of food up, due to oil. Droughts and Famine caused by over-farming and not rotating every seven years, and only farming six of the years and allow one year for the ground to rest. Much of what is happening in the world is man's doing to man. The Lord only want what's best for us. By rights, there should be enough food, clothes and shelter to feed, bed and clothe every man, woman and child in this world. It is greed and lust, which robs people and blinds people to His love. It is because many have forgotten of His love for us and the sacrifice His son made, and His glorious resurrection and promise that people continue to stumble blind to Him. The people who have lust for power and wealth are the ones whose lives are the most empty. It must be nice to live in a grand house, but I couldn't bear the lonliness of such a place without having people from all walks of life enter through the doorways. |
