2 Timothy 3:15b-17
"...through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."
One of the Greatest Principles to Follow When Reading/Studying Scripture is This: Without Exception, Take All Scripture as Being Literal, Unless The Writer (HOLY Spirit)  Tells You That it Is Not Literal.
