REVIVAL TIME, FOLKS!
LET'S GET BUSY SHOWING CHRIST'S LOVE

I agree..it's NOT up to "church" but up to us, We BE Christ's body.  It's about BEING who we are?  Maybe it would help to discover who we really ARE!  From whence does our help come?

It's not about finding the "correct" political formula or political party.  A lot of Americans today believe the government must be our savior.  We've got to FIX the government to serve the people better, then we will have "God's blessing" again on America.  WRONG!  How about AMERICA BLESS GOD instead of God Bless America?  Many Christians think this way.  We gotta FIX "church."  Improve it, revive it, make it bigger, stronger, LOUDER, more programs, more ministries, more,.more..more.
WRONG!

It's about... how do we live each day OUTSIDE the walls of the "church" building?  It's not just "wimpianity," it has become "churchianity."  How do we live when nobody is watching?  What do we WATCH, listen to, and participate in when "church" folks aren't around?

If God is in us, if those who are joined to the Lord ARE one spirit, then that is who we BE!  The world is looking for a savior, they are looking for love.  WE have Him.  Others need to see God BEING lived out daily in us.  That's what Jesus did.

Ooops, I fell off my soap box.

Well, there's a flip side to this too...the 'world' sees Christians as either the fanatical "bible thumpers", or that we should be meek and nonconfrontational.

How many times have you been asked/told:  "I thought Christians weren't supposed to get angry!".  Somehow there is a misconception of being passive and sequestered from the rest of the world and it's affairs.

I am actually  struggling with one particular issue that you mentioned in your blog. Thank you for maybe giving me the answers I need to deal with it!

Christianity in terms of bringing others to Christ is an uphill battle, a battle not for those that practice wimpianity.  Thank you Steve, a nice reminder that good things take work, hard work, courage and much more.

Great blog. You are so right.
Let me start however by saying, I AM A WHIMP! God uses whimps, He loves whimps.
One of my favourite bible characters, and a guy a really relate to, is a dude called Gideon:
Judges 6:15 "O my Lord, how can I save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent for you?".
Gideon asked a number of signs from God in order to try and shirk this call from God. When eventually he realised that God really was calling him, GOD did powerful things through him. Check-out Judges if you want to know more!
My prayer is that God can use each of our weaknesses (and whimpianity) and turn them into HIS strengths!

Amen, Nathan.  We are all wimps in some degree.  And God uses wimps who will follow and obey Him in spirte of their fears.  If, however, we refuse to act when God speaks, we can block God's power and will.

Colin Campbell (AboveRubies.org)  wrote Where Are The Real Men of God? Exposing the Wimpy Spirit  His writing addressed the role of men in the Body of Christ, but as my sons and I were reading and discussing it, we realized there truly is a shortage of men (and women) totally sold out to God.  The problem is that we all think we're doing a pretty good job -- but when we spend time in His presence, we become aware that He has so much more for us!

So glad you shared this strong reminder!

That's the key, GrammyB.  Now how we think we are doing, but how He thinks we are doing.

Appreciate your reading and commenting as well, Bubbles.
