I'm on my last day here in the states and I had the pleasure to go to Lakewood Church in Houston. I know you've probably all heard about it, maybe saw Pastor Joel on TV, etc. This was a special thing my cousin, Richard, did for me because I asked about it.
It was large, had awesome awesome acoutics, and well run. It used to be a sports arena before. I knew about it, but just thought it would be good to go there if I had a chance. My cousin went out of his way to make that happen. I'm grateful for that and him. He's a mighty man of God and travels all over the world singing and evangelizing for Jesus. You can see who he is on Justjesus.org.
Now I want to tell you what God did. I was ushered down the aisle and seated in the third row from the front on the end of the row. Really great seat. Then I was introduced to one of Richard's friends, Chris Panos. This man smuggled Bibles into Russia and wrote a book called, "God's Spy". I was given a copy of his book because the person who was intended for never showed up to receive it. See what happens when you show up---God shows up! Also I was given an offering from his pocket. A blessing.
The worship was great. I like good worship because I just want to sing to the Lord and love Him. That's my special thing I can do....give Him my heart with my lips and voice that He gave me.
Then after service all visitors were offered the opportunity to meet Joel and Victoria Osteen. Of course, I took advantage of that. It was good to meet them. Tell them I'm praying for them. God knows anyone who's doing a big thing for God must have everyone praying for them and He wants his people together routing for each other. We need to pray because of the warfare can be fierce.
Getting the third row seat, meeting the man who travelled to Russia and risked his life back when it was a Big risk, meeting Godly people was all God's doing.
He said He'd give you the desires of your heart. Do you believe? I do even before it happened. Only believe. Keep believing and being close to the Lord. Get into the throne room and visit Him. Give Him your precious time when you don't think you have any time at all.
Going back tomorrow to serve the Lord in Guatemala tomorrow morning and I'm refreshed.
By the way Lisa Comes, Pastor Joel's sister, preached on letting things go and encouraged us in the Lord. Let's let go of the negative things done, our past, and look forward to our future all the time. Isaiah 43:18.
