I am in the process of read or should I say re-reading a great book by Tony Evans; The Battle Is The Lords. The section I am reading about is on knowing our authority. Naturally that leads to the Armor of God. What I want to share with you today is about the Belt of Truth. These are some good points. Think about it.
Truth is the beginning point of authority. The belt of truth holds your life together and protecs you from the lies of the evil one.
The belt of truth also keeps us form replacing God's word with our feelings.
If you want real weapons of spiritual authority, you have to be ready to say that when God's word contradicts how you feel, then your feelings are wrong and God's word is right.
Satan is getting a lot of believers because how they feel is more important to them than what God says.
The belt of truth goes around the loins, the mid section. This is the area that provides strength to the body, but is also a vauable area that needs protection.
When your mid section is protected by truth, your'e off to a good start for Jesus Christ is truth.
And lastly....
The truth is an objective standard of reality that stands outside our experiences and above our opinions. The standard of truth is the word of God.
These are some things that I think are worth thinking about. I want to walk with my mid section protected by truth... walking with Jesus.
