| Possible with God |

Seven years ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. That's a progressive, degenerative neurological disorder for which there is no known cure. Although research continues, the current treatments only attempt to control the symptoms. For seven years, my wife and I have prayed and hoped. Other folks have prayed and hoped... And Parkinson's marched on, little by little stealing my physical abilities and my life. Medication was increased but so did the symptoms... Until fifteen weeks ago. The last Sunday in April, April 27th, some friends gathered around me to pray yet again. Like so many times before, the six of them gathered in and laid hands on me and prayed. Except this time something happened. I can't describe it but things changed. It's now been fifteen weeks virtually symptom free. I've been off the medication for thirteen weeks. Medication that is definitely out of my system by now. My world-class neurologist is amazed and confirms the change. Other doctors that know me also confirm all this. One of them even wants to document my "spontaneous remission."
But [Jesus] said, "What is impossible with men is possible with God." Amen! |
