My word is law!
Boy, have I used this one a lot!!! My word is law! God says that many, many times throughout the Bible. In fact, the word LAW is found 216 times in the Old Testament and 195 times in the New Testament. That's a lot of times, truthfully. The Bible not only tells you what the laws are, they separate them! They give you MORAL laws, CEREMONIAL laws, and CIVIL laws. notice, three separate styles. We've all seen how moral laws have degraded even in our short lifetimes based on the "freedoms" we overuse in this world. We've also seen the slow fading away of ceremonial laws, alteration and such as well, and civil laws, the civil laws followed in the times of the Bible aren't even spoken of in this day and age. Yet, some of them are as basic as could be, and remain unspoken and unheeded. A tragic turn of events regardless.
In a booklet titled, aptly, "The Last Days" I've found several interesting thoughts and representations. I'd like to share them with you in depth. First, I will give you the link by which to find this little gem and I'd love it if we could get into true discussion over it. The Law, as we've been discussing the Ten Commandments, is something we often overlook in this world that cannot decide what truth "faith" and "grace" may have. Check it out and bring back your own thoughts as we consider what is next in our steps toward understanding these ten little rules.
