4:7 Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God, and he who loves is born of God and knows God. As We all Know, God is Love, in other words the embodiment of love, or love in the flesh. Hence as children of God, we are born of love ... 5:5 and hope putteth not to shame; because the love of God hath been shed abroad in our hearts through the Holy Spirit which was given unto us. My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God. The person who refuses to love doesn't know the first thing about God, because God is love—so you can't know him if you don't love.
This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him. This is the kind of love we are talking about—not that we once upon a time loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they've done to our relationship with God.
These are a few verses we can reflect on, on the subject of love:
5:1 Every one who believes that Jesus is the Christ is a child of God, and every one who loves the parent loves the child. 3:14 We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love abides in death. And one of my favorite is :
1 John 3:18-19
18 There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love's complete perfection].
19We love Him, because He first loved us.
Finally ...
If anyone boasts, "I love God," and goes right on hating his brother or sister, thinking nothing of it, he is a liar. If he won't love the person he can see, how can he love the God he can't see? The command we have from Christ is blunt: Loving God includes loving people. You've got to love both.
NEW ADDITION ***
Furthermore, Love is a great teacher :
Romans 5 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
Love will teach you how to Seperate the Sin from the Sinner.
John 3:16 16For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.
Though God hates sin, He still sent His son to die for us, that we might live : so Jesus took OUR place of punishment. Jesus didnt rescue us from sin, no!. He took our place and DIED for us. What LOVE.
ROMANS 5 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
No wonder Jesus Himself said '' John 15 : 13 ''Greater love has no-one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.''
But ofcourse we cannot even begin to realize the extent of God's Love on our own : You can only begin to understand and realize God's love for you and towards you by Knowing What He has done and is Still doing for you.
...If you can't think of anything this can help - Are you really alive by chance or luck? Nope, more lucky and deserving / 'nicer' people than ourselves are dead. So its definitely not that. Remeber the LOVE of God is what is keeping us alive.
NOW
We (you and I) love Him (God), because He first loved us <<< 1 John 4 : 19
To God be The Glory a Praise forever. Amen
