I count on this truth. This hope keeps me trucking along. A covenant king who promises resurrection to the dead.....what a gift. All the rest is just bonus...bur resurrection...the prize...love it!!!!!!!!!! I read something once in a book and don't remember the name of the author or title of the book, but she lost her husband in a balloon accident. She spoke of the need to believe in resurrection once her husband had died. She said it was like needing a strong rope. If you need a rope to tie up a box then you would check the strength to meet that need. If you have to have a rope to climb a mountain strong enough to support your body, then you REALLY need to make sure it is strong. When you have loved ones who have passed on, as I have lost two sons, then you REALLY need to know in your heart there is a resurrection coming for them. If you are diagnosed with a terminal illness this verse alos gives you hope beyond what doctors can or cannot do. Resurrection ....can meditate on that for hours. Not just any 4 syllable word, it is HUGE. Whether we die and are resurrected or we are among those who will lose their gravitation when the Lord returns, whadda promise! |
