| O COME LET US ADORE HIM! |

“Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Ephesians 5:20) The Holy Spirit has prompted me to speak to you about thanksgiving. When was the last time you stopped everything to offer thanks to the Lord for what He has done for you? Have you given thanks to the Lord for all His wondrous works that you witnessed throughout 2007? Are you giving thanks to Him for what He has already done and what He is doing for you in 2008? The Hebrew root word for thanksgiving is “adoration”. David said, “Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving…” (Psalm 95:2) All too often we do not come into the Lord’s presence with thanksgiving, yet He still extends His favor and blessings to us. Does God withhold His favor or blessings? No, He gives it out abundantly without making us ask or beg. The Lord continues to extend His blessings over our lives; we see miracles taking place, suffering being alleviated and all of our needs being met. God gives strength to the weary. He gives food to the hungry and shelter to those who are standing in the midst of a storm. Giving thanks in all things? Yes, in sickness and in health; in good times and in bad; in storms and in sunshine, he deserves our thanks and our praise! See God not as a potter who needs clay, but as the Creator who can work from nothing to supply your every need. Believing for your victory!
11:25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, 11:26 and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?" |
