Jesus was talking about his on comming death on the cross. Yes he knew he was going to die and had known that this was his purpose in his life, to take all of our sins.
You might well ask what is a sin, well it can be from taking a pen from work, (Stealing) to murder,
(Killing) these are examples of extremes, yet they in Gods eyes merit the same thing, sinning. He also experienced all the other pains as we do in our life, like humiliation, hatred, anger, shame, etc.
He done this at his fathers command, God wanted to show us that he would give up his son to take on all of our sins and experiences. Why? Because he Loves us.
He wants you to believe that his son died on the cross for you.
Say your sorry for everything youv'e done wrong.
Ask Jesus into your life.
