Why would people give up several evenings pricing old clothes? Why would they give up their Saturday to man a selling station at a school? Why would they take truck loads of stuff down and back? Why would they hold a smile while someone told them 50 cents was too high? Here's why . . .

This is one of the precious deaf children that our mission team ministers to every year. This is why they work so hard to raise funds for their mission trip. Today I was awed by the spirit of Christ that I sinced among these workers at their mission sale. They were true servants whether they were selling a hot dog or a book. They did whatever was necessary because they knew were the money was going. They knew it would help them reach boys and girls like the little fellow above. Did God honor them? yep! They raised enough money today to send two of their team members to Mexico, that's over 2,000. That brings their total to 6,000. They only need 9,000 more. Would you like to get in on this? You will have a chance to give to this project in the next couple of weeks. Watch for the special offering envelopes in your bulletin. Way to go team! Oh by the way I heard they are going to be giving out cold drinks after the service as a way of saying thanks. Man, what servants, you go mission team! :) Catch you later . . . |
