Just because someone is a homosexual does not mean that we cannot love and pray for them.  Homosexuality is a sin and like any other sin, it needs to be dealt with in the only way possible. It needs to be laid at the cross, repented of, and never done again.

When we are born again God makes us new creatures in HIM! We must be born of the water and the Spirit, and Christ promises to lead and guide us in all ways of truth and righteousness!

The Bible stands true.  People will try to re-write it and change it, but in the end it will be the judge against sin.

King James Bible
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

I believe the Bible's meaning is very clear.

You are correct that the wisdom of man is foolishness to God.  It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise than for a man to hear what pleases the crowd and tickles the ears.

Lev 20:13 and the other scriptures that were posted in the beginning post, warns that having sex with a member of the same gender is an abomination. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of that very sin. So yes, being gay is a sin. It is not up to us to change the scriptures.  God alone will say who is deserving of hell, because only God is the final Judge.  He judges by His Word.

Feel free to share your feelings, I do not get angry!

Lara knowing what words actually mean can definitely illuminate what a sentence means. For example urks is not a word. But irks is. Thanks for the lesson.

No, Lara you understand nothing. That is your (as well as others) problem. The truth doesn't offend me, however ignorance does. I pray that one day both your mind as well as your heart are opened.

Lev. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."

Rom. 1:26-28, "
26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient."

God will not force you to obey His Word, but if you reject it, then you risk being turned over to a reprobate mind.  Ask God to reveal the truth to you and may God bless all of us and give us a closer walk with Him.

We are all learning and growing.....  May God illuminate our pathway!

Then I suppose I am a fruit. Read a bit further in that verse Lara: "You will know them by their fruit. Grapes aren't gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles, are they?"
In other words judge a gay person through what fruit he bears, not the gender of whom he loves.

Malleus De, I do not know you, nor am I allowed to judge, but are you truely happy? I gather that you are gay. I am not put on this earth to judge. God will do that. I just want you to know that I am a person who trusts in Gods word. I do believe it is a sin, but you are responsible for what you do, just as we all are. I think a sin is a sin no matter what. I have been told that sexual sins are greater. That I do not believe. If you are a a person of  true faith, I trust God  will lead you. Patti

Kentucky you are a Brave man posting the truth like that. I was confused about this issue & I read the blog (new age at that) about sexual orientation not being a sin.. Well in the bible it  says it is & so is alcoholism once you quit "the sin" you purposely stay away from it so you are'nt tempted to do it again. You love & pray for the sinner (were all sinners) & you encourage them, but DO NOT condemn them! love you all T

LOVE The Sinner.......& ......Hate The Sin.....Absolutely.

Hating Sin does not mean Throw Stones !

So Then How do You Love a Sinner.....Well You Do Welcome, & Invite, & no where in a Transforming process do You ever throw stones.

But The Kingdom of Heaven is to..........REPENT (( return to the Higher position ))
for The Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand.

Now.....welcoming or inviting [ALL manner of sinners to Church] is Like .....A Gym hanging a Banner stating that All Fat

People are welcome here.

But You WILL NEVER see working for a GYM the 600 pound Personal Trainer.
The 600 pound person is improper CONDITION to Train Others into proper Shape.

Likewise You should not Ordain Gays as Pastors.....Gays should be Loved, welcomed,
but Being Transformed, & Conformed to The Word of God, in The Renewing of The Mind
By a Pastor in Proper Condition [Who is Conformed to The WORD].

Kentucky_L......A-men That is pretty Plain & Simple........They just do not want to give into
GOD's Will........They WANT to give into the LUSTS of the Flesh.....Their Free Will Their right to
choose.
They do not WANT to cling to any of the Bible verse You posted. To them They Spin their Teachings That The Word of God [is not] ASOLUTELY True & Correct.
It....[ The Word ] does not mean as it clearly READS or as it is CLEARLY understandable.

Here are some FACTS on Gay Marriage....Studies done in The Netherlands & other Countries.
Gay Marriages....Last 1.5 Years......also during that 1.5 year period those couples have an
average of ((( 8 ))) other Sexual partners. Adultery ...[watered down relationship]

So as You can see in their Behavior displayed they Are Not showing to much respect to
what most would think of a Marriage relationship by having so many other sexual partners.
Not a committed & Bonded relationship, not meant to be long lasting. Not taken Serious as to
be long term.

Proof !!....That they do not want to be instructed by The Word, or that they WANT a REAL
committed Relationship at all.

These are People who just ...WANT..to Persue their LUSTS & not persue the Will of God.

They WANT The CHURCH to ..CONFORM to The Ways of the World & not the ways of GOD.

The WANT the Church to be like Them & Not to be like the CHURCH as discribed in
THE ((( BIBLE )))
Denial of The Bible as the Word & that The Bible is not literally accurate, & does not mean what
it says or as it READS Clearly !
So if HE [JESUS] The ((((( WORD ))))) made Flesh is Not.. LORD of ALL....then....HE...is not
LORD at ALL !

Interesting conversation. I always find it interesting how some folks take clear language from the bible and twist it into a convoluted, confusing mess. Most of the time the message of scripture is clear and simple! IF homosexuality were not contrary to the Creator's design and intent, why must it take a scholar, or person of extensive education, knowledge, and great intelligence, to "discover" this "hidden" truth?

Rationalization and justification of sin can be hard work!

AMEN, Michael! Great word! Amen Mike n Laura! You are right. The first way God reveals His specific will to us is through His Word. He also speaks to us through His Spirit! The carnal mind is death, and the spiritual mind is life and peace because the person who follows the carnal mind acts in hostility towards God and does not obey the voice of God. Amen Lara

Satan accomplishes worship by blinding men's eyes to truth and deceiving them to serve something of his own invention as their god. God is able to open the eyes of those that want to receive His truth.

Romans 6:16, `Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness'?

We must be not merely hearers of God's Word, but do-ers also. We may profess to worship God, but if at the same time we are obeying the law of Satan, we are reckoned as his subjects.  May God bless you and lead you in all ways of truth and righteousness!  When we love Him we are willing to follow...no matter what the cost!

You are in my prayers!!  God loves those that are willing to allow Him to change them and conform them to His image.

Dear Jerry and everyone,

No problem...you just have to learn what God has already done about our sin in Christ; not just forgiving it but also immersing us into His death so that we might be free from sin.  The flesh will never tell us that we don't have to obey the sin that dwells in our members.  [See my profile for some great books!]

It isn't confined to any particular expression of sin such as homosexuality or fornication.  Fornication is a Christian socially acceptable sin and therefore we don't see a bunch of blogs about how Christians should not be living together before they get married.  Homosexuality is an easy target, as is abortion, because most Christians use these so that they can feel good about their own socially acceptable sins like gossip or outbursts of anger, failure to submit to authority [all authority is from God...including Obama], disobedience to parents, etc.

First it isn't about being straight or gay, it's about getting to the place where we see that we no longer have to be what the flesh says we have to be; we no longer have to present our members to sin to obey the lusts of our bodies [Romans 6].  [Check my blog books out!]

The other problem I see here is that we routinely ignore the admonishment of Paul:

5:9 I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with immoral men; 5:10 not at all meaning the immoral of this world, or the greedy and robbers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. 5:11 But rather I wrote to you not to associate with any one who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or robber--not even to eat with such a one. 5:12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? 5:13 God judges those outside. "Drive out the wicked person from among you."

We judge those who are outside when we should be judging those who are inside.  At the same time we fail to have compassion on folks like Jerry who do not want to continue to be dominated by their flesh--no matter whether it is masturbation or gossip.  Oh how we grant grace to each others failures if they are our own!  And how judgemental and superior we feel if their are not our own.  In my opinion, and I sincerely believe I have the mind of the Lord on this, as long as a person confesses their sin as being sin and judges themselves then they will be forgiven and cleansed by God, and will not be judged, and should be forgiven by us.  But if person will not acknowledge their sin as sin then they are to be rejected until they change their mind.  Remember the folks in Corinthians who were judged in the flesh and those whom Paul turned over to Satan that they might be judged in the flesh...and saved in the Day of the Lord.

We need to be careful that we do not judge people on the outside because such were we!  Don't you remember when you were given to a depraved mind and to the passions of your flesh?  I do!  And I know of my own sexual failures after I came to the Lord too.  I remember being in Romans 7 for years!  But thank God there is a Roman 8 and it is true.  Don't despair Jerry!  You are not a homosexual, you are a new creation in Christ and until you start thinking of yourself as who you are after the Spirit you will not be free from what the flesh would make of you!  I know, for there is not sexual sin that I have not participated in before coming to the Lord and many that I gave into after coming to the Lord!  But I have learned--and am still learning--that His power is made perfect in my weakness and He does not sin!  We are to restore those who have fallen looking to ourselves lest we too are overcome.  There is an appropriate judgement and there is an appropriate mercy that should be shown in all these things!

Yours in Him,
Craig

Oh my gosh!  Have any of you read this?

Hundreds of homosexual activists rushed out of bars and swarmed a group of Christians who were singing songs in San Francisco's Castro District – and some even threatened to kill the worshippers.

A group of Christians had been singing and praying in the "gay" district for several days, but they never expected an angry mob would run them out. However, that's what happened Friday night.

One woman who was attacked told her story with Pastor Lou Engle at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City. She said the group's fellowship had been peaceful for several nights before the riot.

"People would come stand with us and join us," she said. "We got to pray for some people."

But then angry men began yelling profanities and warning the Christians to leave the district.

Craig, I see a box to mark star - do they have one for BRAVO?  I would comment further, but you covered it all so well, I will leave it at that.  My prayers continue to be that we learn to live as HE did and accept each other as HE has promised to each of us.

God's Blessing to All,
