Putting on the Whole Armour: Pastor Tim Lee's message

6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]. 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 

1. Paul teaches that we are to be strong in the Lord. There's no reason to be a weakling, if one is praying and fasting and studying God's word. All through the scriptures those that were in right standing with God prevailed time after time. Paul states that it's the power of his might, Christ that's in you is your hope of glory.

2. Put on the whole armour of God. The helmet will protect the head, the breastplate will protect the chest area. The mention of feet and loin protection is also discussed by the Apostle Paul. But we must put on all the armour to have the whole armour. Having just the shield of faith is not enough protection without  having a helmet of salvation. Lots of people carry around a Bible "the word of God " that have never accepted Jesus as the Lord. The same thing applies to people that have a shield, but have not the loins covered with the truth. Put on the whole armour all is needed for frontal war ware.

3.Standing against the attacks of the devil. Some folks honestly believe the devil would not attack them from behind. For he has come to steal and kill and destroy, that Satan's mission. With the whole armour you will be able to with stand the wiles of the devil. The devil has every intention of finding out, how much God dwells within you. He is an accuser of the brethren. We are not wrestling with flesh and blood but against wickedness in high places. The battle is of a spiritual nature with those in control of high places.

4. Having the whole armour of God and that being covered from head to toe, we are able to stand. And when we see the best the devil has to throw at us, we are instructed to continue standing. God has provided in this armour  everything, we need to defeat the devil. Paul told Timothy, That the man of God may be perfect thoroughly furnished unto all good works. All scripture were given by inspiration of God. You can't be defeated, if your following the leading of the Holy Spirit . Fight the good fight and keep the faith, the just shall live by faith and sometimes it will be just faith. You've been clothed for victory, get thee behind me Satan.
