| Giving in Silence |

I can see how it is easy to give to someone and let ppl know.It seems like would think of us in a different way cause we r a giving person.I know cause sometimes I give and do let someone know.Not all the time but do it without meaning to.I want to be a giver and do it in silence.See when we give in silence God rewards us for it.For it is better to recieve from God in secret then to have men look at us and say wow what a giver.It's good for ppl to know we r a generous person but not for us to say to others."Oh look at me I'm giving to this person.They r in need and I'm helping them."
If God puts it on ur heart to give to someone in need.Then He expects it to stay between u,Him and the person recieving.Unless He tells u to do it in private without them knowing about it.I've had ppl yrs ago giving me stuff and I had no idea who it was giving it to me.I would wonder who it was and think who would have known that I needed that one thing?But God would let me know that He had given it to me.God knew exactly what I needed and used someone (in secret) to provide it.
God can use anyone who is willing to be His hands and feet in this world.
There r alot of ppl who r interested in getting the glory for whatever they do for God.I wish that there were more ppl like the in the early church.They shared all that they had.I'm not talking about ppl being comfortable and prospering finacially.But God has a plan on how that is to come about.See they sold all they had and gave to the poor as they had need.Nobody had need for anything.Why can't it be that way now with us today.Don't we have the same Holy Spirit in us?Working thru us?All around us?Controling our every move?Then why r there some ppl in the church who go without basic needs met?
Paul in the new testiment said that he was ALL THINGS TO ALL MEN.for the greeks he was greek for the hebrews he was hebrew.Well what about the poor who will be what they need for someone to be for them?Jesus feed the 5,000 and had 12 baskets left over.There's something to be said for giving from a giving heart.
There r so many ppl out there in need.I love helping ppl when they r in need.Cause I know what it's like to not have the basics of life.I'm so thankful that I have a roof over my head and some food in my apartment.I may not have all that I need.But there r ppl out there who don't have as much as I do.I go to the soup kitchens for lunch and there r ppl there who live on the streets.Some do it cause they want to.Some do it cause they have no choice.They fell on hard times and couldn't pay the bills or afford the rent and food too.Or rent and electric.What will u do to help those ppl out there who needs a little break in life.God will reward u for ur giving(when u give it in secret).
6:2 "Thus, when you give alms, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by men. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. |
