The grand and glorious theme of this Psalm is the Word of God. His Word is His Way, His Testimony, His Precept, His Command, His Law, His Righteousness and His Statute. Line upon line, Psalm 119 paints a perfect picture of the Spirit-filled and Word-filled Christian soldier, the sons of God in glory.

Like Ezekiel, they have consumed the Word of God until it has consumed them to their end.
Like Jeremiah, the Word in them is like a FIRE SHUT UP IN THEIR BONES.
Like Jesus, they become so united to the Word that in time they become “the Word made flesh” which tabernacles among the inhabitants of the world.
This is the heritage and lifestyle of the sons of God in glory. This is their lot. This is why they are hated and this is why they are loved.
