What an honor! I had dinner tonight with Voice_in_dc and The_Blue_Flame! Face-to-face! They were en route from visiting Voice's parents and had a stopover in Salisbury, so we got to have dinner together, and a quick tour of my college and the town. What great guys!
Voice is exactly the wonderful person he appears to be on MyChurch! Engaging, personable, giving, and delightful! And I had such a good time getting to know BlueFlame! He kept me on my etiquette toes, and I hope he'll rise to my challenge to write a blog on all the etiquette he taught me tonight! If he hadn't prompted me to turn my fork upside down when I finished eating, the waitress may have never asked us about dessert, but at his prompting, she was there in one second! Warning though: if you eat with BlueFlame, eat quickly, or he will want the rest of your salmon! These growing 14-year-olds!
What did Voice think about meeting me? I'm not sure, but I think he wondered how I hide my Southern accent so well when I blog! :)
I pray for their safe return home tomorrow, and I am so blessed to call them both my friends! Just in case you ever wonder, Voice_in_dc is real!

Yes, it was a delightful dinner with a true southern lady....truly gracious when my son was hovering over her salmon, and as engaging in person as she is on line. My only regret is that the evening passed by so quickly.
BTW, the place Kathy took us was an Italian restaurant that is located in what was once a church. The stained glass windows were spectacular. You can see some of them behind us in the pic. |

| BTW, I also got to meet Valya's brother who is a student at the college now...Valya wasn't there since she has moved on to Greensboro...Valya is a mychurch member who moved here from the Ukraine. |

Unfortunately, I have been out of Texas too long and have "lost" most of my accent...but still have enough for my friends in Maryland to "tease" me!
