My brother you hit the nail right on the head
Life is life and we have no answer as to what it will be
But God had a purpose and a plan if He allows someone to conceive
People have to understand that God has made provision for those who can't have children
So if you are pregnant and don't want the child there is adoption foster care, family, friends
you never know why God is allowing you to give birth it may be to help someone else
Thank you for the food for thought this morning

Amen to that Steve... it's a horrible cruel death, people should see what that child has to go through... I am against it so much and I had a awful sight of this happening. A girl went to see about it I tyred to talk her out of it... She was suppose to get some stints and come back, the next day.... they had her stay she asked me in the room little did I know they change their mind and decided to do it that day while I was in there. I cred so hard  as I looked around the baby was tore in pieces and I saw it little arm whole but torn from its body, it haunts me to this day...

it had everything it had fingernails, how can someone do that to another humane being, is beyond me...

needless to say I wasn't prepared to see that... I was against it before and I am really against now...

Greetings Beloveds:

Simply put - under strict criteria - I would not be here.

Blood disease, various behavioural idiosyncrasies,  distinct tendencies of thought, imperfect in a whole variety of ways.

Here's a nice framework of consideration:

A professor at the UCLA Medical School presented the following case history to his students:

A woman who suffers from tuberculosis is pregnant.

Her husband has syphilis.

There are three children in the family.

One is blind, another deaf, and the other suffers from tuberculosis. Yet another child died in infancy.

Under the circumstances, most of the students recommended an abortion. They were then informed by their Professor:

“Congratulations, you’ve just killed Beethoven!”

I stand in agreement with all that's said here....Abortion is WRONG....it is MURDER...I don't care how they try to dress it up and talk about womens rights...and right to choose.....WRONG!!!!!  GOD alone is the giver of life and HE alone has THE RIGHT  to take it away......Let me stop....I feel my blood boiling on this topic.....but that's OK because JUDGEMENT DAY *is* coming!!!!!!

This is sad. You know I think I saw a sci fi movie like this once...where by the time of utopia they only had the perfect genes, and nobody was unique. God made us all unique flaws and all.

I almost was aborted! My mother got pregnant with me at 16 and my dad had a very bad reputation for being wild, fighting and the like. He was also 21, seperated and had a son. So when my grandmother found out that my mom was pregnant with me, she was very upset. She had my dad thrown in jail, and demanded my mom to have an abortion. My mom was very upset. My grandmother took my mom to the clinic, and while my grandmother was in the waiting room, my mom had her consultation with the doctor before the procedure. My mom said she cried and cried and told the doctor that she didnt want to do this, and explained the situation about my dad. The doctor told my mom to put her clothes back on while he got my grandmother. The doctor told my grandmother that he refused to do the abortion and that if she still wanted it done, she would have to go elsewhere. Long story short.....my parents ended up getting married and had me a month later, and have been married now for 38 years! My grandmother does not know that i know all of that. She loves my dad tremendously now, and out of all of her grandchildren, ironically, i am the only one who calls her, sends cards, etc. I am passionately against abortion.

Why is ramdom abortion any less cruel?

An excellent question, Steve! The answer: The criteria for abortion, in the minds of those who favor it, has nothing to do with the baby, and everything to do with the desires of the would-be parents. Well, mainly with the pregnant woman. The criteria: is the baby wanted. Systematic abortion would no longer take into consideration the desires of the woman, and therefore the woman's rights are ignored. A heinous crime!!! But random abortion is ok, 'cuz the question is left entirely up to the sovereign woman. Ugh, I hate this topic.

Sometimes I can't believe that the act of abortion is even debated. What a horrible crime. God blesses us with children. I really believe that every child conceived has been pre-ordained for God 's good pleasure and use in the kingdom. God gives life. NO MAN should have the  "CHOICE" to take it away.

Who could call it a choice? So many young women have been tricked into believing that they are making good "life choices" by choosing when to become a parent and having an abortion. They look at the circumstances around them and see no hope. Its so sad to think that they don't know a God who is bigger than their circumstance.

Mary was 14 when she bore Jesus. What if she had made the wrong "life choice?" Israel Houghton's mother was a homeless, drug addicted 15 year old teenager when she gave birth to her blessed son of God.I could go on. Random or systematic, it all boils down to a dream deferred.

The thief comes to steal kill and destroy, but he is caught and shall repay seven fold-Prov.

It is legalized murder, Molech worship revitalized and God hates it and so do I. This is why we need to PRAY for our leaders to be touched by God with conviction of thier evil hearts and I pray that this happens, GOD IS ON THE THRONE! We need to unite in prayer as the body of Christ and obey Him and preach the Gospel to the Nations. The gates of hell will not prevail against us! Keep up the good work brother, and I pray that God enlarges your territory and makes you a blessing to many more thirsty souls. Keep shining your light!!!

Amen, Steve! I was adopted at 3 days old, and found my birth parents when I was 30. My birth mother told me (not quite this bluntly, but said it all the same) that she put me up for adoption because abortion wasn't legal in 1961. When I was growing up, I was certain that my birth parents were younger more like me, etc., etc. After I found them, I realized that God knew exactly what He was doing! God has a purpose for each of us, and systematic or random, it makes no difference - abortion is murder.

Wow, Carol.  A few years later and you would have been killed in the womb.  That is a shocking realization that our country needs to face.  We are killing the innocent just like King Herod did.

You're preachin' to the choir here my man!  This blog needs to be out on MySpace or some liberal site.  The important thing is how are you going to vote - you heard Obama on Rick Warren's forum the other day, didn't you?!?  He said he was pro choice because he didn't think any one of those women made their choices lightly!  HUH!!  Daaah!  He certainly got that right!  It must be OK because it's a heavy decision.

Abortion is MURDER!  Like the poem says about abortion:

"Murdered by my mommy's hand,
I guess I'm too young to understand.
Goodbye, Mommy, the month is nine,
I could've been born, doing just fine."

I believe we should all share the "gospel truth" with others, before they go to the obortion clinic, because by the time they are at the clinic, they have already made up their minds to obort..
I was appalled at the amount of people who say they go to church regularly and are considering obortion. Another thing churches can inspire that person to keep the child, if they open the doors 24/7 with a food and clothes pantry. Perhaps a recycling of baby clothes and baby amenities can be done by members of the church.  What about babysitting amenities?  Is'nt that what church should be all about? helping people?.  People are already stressed out and would like to know that they can find healing in the church.  How about a prayer and counseling facility in the churches?  Just my thoughts on the subject.

My heart is so burdened with this issue lately.  Obama said it correctly when he stated that determining the point life begins as being "above my pay grade".  It certainly is!  When did any one of us get the notion that we are wise enough to make judgement on when to call it "Life"?  God alone did that for us, so there would be no question about it!  When you look at it from simply a cell perspective, at the point that the two separate seeds joined to make one, that was a NEW formation.  The cell was alive and multiplying. That is life.  It's so simple.

When did the right to choose become more important than life itself?

If you are a Christian, you are a follower of Christ's example.  He said, "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." (Jn 15:13) When you become pregnant, you must set aside your own wishes for the life of your child, like it or not.  That's how Christ lived. Obama dare call himself a Christian!

Boy, what an eye opener ! They should make jr. high & high school young adults watch the movie in health class on abortion & what really happens to the baby as it gets aborted. I never realised it was so graffic! I believe apon seeing tiny little limbs they might realise what they are disposing of. Instead of the out of sight, out of mind mentality. I help our church out with a youth group here in Ottawa, Il. They are 12-17 yr. olds. It's stressfull working with teens!!!!! But o so worth the effort. Thanks for the enlightenment, Sister Tammy :)  :)

Great blog, great comments.

Ihsallthetime--there is a ministry called Care Net.  This ministry is absolutely wonderful.  It provides pregnancy tests, counseling, ultrasounds at some centers, baby clothes, diapers, formula, homes, counseling for post abortion women, etc.  I have been involved in this ministry off and on for over seventeen years.  I have only wonderful things to say about the compassion and love this ministry exhibits to all women in a crisis pregnancy whether the woman chooses life or not.  Please check out the ministry link I provided above to learn more about the ministry.  To find a center near you use this link and click on Find a Center.

Steve, sometimes, I think the unsaved feel like we are judging them, and if we approach them with love, then we have done what God wants. I have had the chance to try and talk people out of abortion. One girl's mother called me and said her pastor said it was okay and that I needed to get out of her daughters life. Still, I cannot judge them because who knows how God used what she did to convict her and bring her to Him. I can only hope. It is a sad, hurting world out there...you know?

My daughter just miscarried and she really wanted a baby. Her son...my grandson, who is 7 years old was so excited. When she would pick him up at school, he would say "hello baby" and say hello to My daughter last.

Life Hurts.

As I think about all of the people standing outside of abortion clinics screaming "You'll go to hell!" I am thankful that there are those who reach out in love and restoration.

We should treat them the way that God has treated us in forgiving all of us undeserved sinners:)
