Wow, that is good, I think you could preach on that one so the whole body gets to hear it. I will also try to do that. I don't need any extra weight of any kind right now. Thanks for writing it--- Deb

Time heals...I guess. I know that concept, of walking out the door with the hurt or dissatisfaction still there. I want to give it all to Jesus, but I too keep picking up the ashes. Oh to truly surrender.....I have made that stand. I AM NOT GOING TO DO THIS!!! Then the temptation to do it over powers me. I guess that could be a form of Pride. :0     -Pride says, "I can fix this!". Hmmm. Jeremy Camp sais it best in his song.....Lay down my pride. ( Well, I am not sure if thats the name...its the part of the song that rings bells in my ears! lol! )

Gotta keep pressing on......I can do all things through CHRIST who strengthens me!

This is so true.  Somehow, I need that regular reminder that I'm doing it again.  Things can build up so fast that I don't even realize it.   I could really relate to the part of being in the service and getting so motivated and then being discouraged if I walk out that door and pick up where I left off.  It sounds like a lot of us are tired of that kind of thing and really wanting to let God change our hearts so that our words and thoughts are sincere.   Father, help us all to know you so well that You are the first person we think of and go to.  Your words are so precious and so different than ours and so life changing.

I remember a word that one of my former pastors had, we were goingthrough some changes, as a church, and God spoke to him in a vision. God showed us moving into His next place as a man carrying a suitcase, when the man came to the door to go into that next place he couldn't go through the door, something was holding him back. God spoke to the man and said he had to leave everything behind,So the man sat down his suitcase and started through the door again. He still coudn't get through, God spoke to him again and said, no everything. It finally came down to the man stripping naked and leaving everything behind, then he could walk through the door. We want to come to the altar and leave the things we want, God wants us to leave everything. We want to leave the things we're confortable, God wants us to leave everything. We want to ask God for what to leave behind, He wants us to leave everything. It's really pretty simple, I want to know how much it will cost, where will it hurt, will I be uncomfortable, God wants us to leave everything. He wants to clothe us, He wants to provide our needs, He wants to reveal all things, all He wants is for us to leave everything at the Altar.
