Missionaries, I truly enjoy receiving private messages and E-mails from all over the world telling me about your ministries. It is uplifting to see how the glory of God manifests itself in foreign countries; especially in places that have heard the Gospel for the very first time. With today's advances in information technology, one would think that the story of Jesus had by now appeared on every tribal leader's laptop computer - - NOT! There are still many fields yet to be harvested. 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly [is] great, but the labourers [are] few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. But before you ask me to pray and support your ministry, please take the time to read what I have written (in many places) that tell you about my ministry. Perhaps you will notice that there is no need to ask me to tell you about my ministry; it is already well documented. And for those of you that wish for me to visit your country and host a revival; only the Lord can cause a revival to happen. And if I were there preaching, that certainly would cause a stir in the region based on the past history of my health. But then again, you might not know that story either because you have not taken the time to read what I have written; often laboriously and painful due to my situation. So please... To all of the missionaries worldwide that God has Called to bring in the harvest. God knows your needs and He also knows my story. I think both of us would ask one thing. Instead of seeing how many messages you can send out in a day asking for prayer and support, spend an equal amount of time reading what is written here at MyChurch and elsewhere and pray where God would truly lead you to contact another ministry for even the possibility of visiting your country. Yes, God is moving in awesome ways in countries where Christianity is in the minority. And yes, it takes money to run a ministry but I am a firm believer that it takes greater amounts of prayer to run an effective ministry. The battle truly is the Lord's and money cannot buy victories in that area. So please, again, I do want to hear how God is moving in your area but before asking questions that tell me you have not spent 5 seconds reading my profile, please put down your pen and paper (or wireless keyboard) and spend a while reading. There are a lot of ministries and Christians here that have written some awesome profiles and blogs. Take some time to read what others are doing. Thank you and God bless you! Dave |
