| Compromising Truth... |
|
| |
| Today, we have a whole generation of Believers in the Body of Christ who are so untaught and misinformed about the spiritual beliefs of Christianty today. How can you determine the saved from the unsaved unless you know the truth about what any individual or so-called Christian "leader" believes (as far as salvation is concerned)? Compromise is running rampant in the true Christian churches today. It seems that anyone who names Jesus Christ as their Savior is accepted without question as being a brother or sister in the Lord. We must know who they are that labour among us.
I believe the most quoted Bible verse among Christians(and false Christians) today is Matthew 7:1: " do not judge, lest you be judged". That verse seems to be the "scapegoat" for any believer who doesn't read or study their Bible. Satan and the unbelievers love this verse because then they know their false teachings will not be questioned. Many Christians who always remember Matthew 7:1 ( about not judging) do not read the rest of the verses in Matthew 7:1-5 to correctly understand the proper procedure for judging. Many Christians today have "swallowed" this "do not judge" attitude, they are no longer "judging" the differences between sound doctrine and unsound doctrine. Nor do they judge the differences between the SAVED and UNSAVED persons.
The vast majority of Christians today are not witnessing to the unsaved. They're not counseling people biblically. They're not judging" false gospel" Christians as unbelievers.
16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them that are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which ye learned: and turn away from them.
When we compromise in the house of God, error is allowed to creep in and if someone believed it or wanted to practice it and if that someone was important enough, church leaders would find a way to "bend the rules" so the "prominent" member would not be offended and after a period of time these teaching and/or practices come to be accepted by all of the denomination's members. Now from these errors we have denominations who appoint men to offices the Bible never mentions, who teach doctrines not found within the Holy Word, and practice what paganistic unbelievers practiced in times past, only now with a "Christian" twist. It all started with compromising the Truth. (John 17:17) (2 Tim.2:15).

| I recently approached a sister in Christ, who had left her husband. I thought that this person was a true Christian...she certainly acted like it, and seemed to be on the right path. Her husband did something, that was wrong, but by all means, not worth ending a marriage over, and she left him. He had done it before and had promised not to do it again and she gave no room for forgiveness or another chance. I tried to talk her into going back to the marriage (since I had been through a similar experience in my marriage), but found that her mind was made up. They have since formally divorced. This woman has left the church. Bottom line is, she is not who I thought she was in her faith. When things got tough in her marriage, she gave up, and she has walked away from God. I will not attempt to talk to her again, because I feel she is not ready to listen. I continue to pray for her to find her way back to God and perhaps even back to her former husband, and her children too. But sometimes you just have to walk away when you cannot influence people in the right path to go. We cannot just make excuses for them, and let them keep doing whatever it is they are doing, when we know it is wrong. If she were still attending our church, I have no doubt she would have many people trying to influence her to do the right things, but since she has left, I doubt too many are making the effort. Especially since she doesn't want to listen. Anyway, all that to say this is a good blog. |

| AMEN The Bible says in Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. We need to know the truth. |

wow! A big fat "AMEN". We gotta get into the Word for ourselves and know what God says! I missed you. I'm sorry; I left abruptly back in late October, but I'm back, and I'm gonna send you a friend request again, since I found ya....and I KNOW you are a sista for sure (and yes, you CAN discern these things over the internet). :D The Apostle Paul said we aren't to judge those outside the church, but we are called to judge those within the church, with righteous judgement. done in love, not because we wanna feel better about ourselves. I'm not wishy washy with that sorta thing, but I'm not a head hunter either, so I guess it's being led of the Spirit, that way we don't go do the wrong thing. great blog...sadly true. |
