So good, Carebear!!!  Reminds me of one of my favorite scriptures..from David when his soul was down and nobody around him, he praises Him anyway...that is, as you say 'keep pressing".

42:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And `why' art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise him `For' the help of his countenance.

I have actually been a little more "fired-up" for the Lord than usual.  I think MyChurch is helping :)6-+

Reminds me of that song....(sorry, I can barely ever remember the name of songs):

Light the fire in my weary soul,

Fan the flame, make my Spirit whole

Lord you know where I've been

So light the fire in my heart again

Love that song and really enjoyed your blog too, Carebear!  Thanks.  <><

Yup, yup.. one of my favorites.  Thanks for the comments all!  Now who knows tips on keeping the flame even after stove-cleaning? :)

This reminds me of the song "He'll Do It Again":

And He'll do it again,
He'll do it again.
If you'll just take a look at where you are now
And where you've been.
Well hasn't He always come through for you?
He's still the same God as then.
You may not know how-
You may not know when-
But He'll do it again.

Thanks for this truth, Carebear

Jan, I'm not sure who wrote it but the accompaniment CD I have for it says it was made popular by Karen Wheaton.

Passion -- one of my keywords for life.  Life is too short for the flame not to burn brightly.  Thanks for your post and reminding us to keep the fire burning ... even in the little things.  I'm reminded of the rebuilding of the wall in Nehemiah.  In chapter 3 there are approximately 41 references to families or people rebuilding sections of the wall.  But for one, Baruch, Nehemiah recorded this:

(Nehemiah 3:20 NIV)  ... Baruch son of Zabbai zealously repaired another section ...

May we be passionate for the things of God ... even the little things!

Carebear this reminds me of " It only takes a spark to get a fire going"  I totally agree with Cathy just order carry out that keeps the stove nice and clean and the flame going. Thanks for the spark........
